Some Hobby House Inspiration and Blog Candy Winner

Good evening crafting friends. I hope you are all well:)

Blog Candy Winner

Sorry I didn't blog the winner of the blog candy yesterday, but as you all know life is a little hectic at the moment and today was my sons prom (I will be sharing some pictures next week)so this is the first chance I have had to put my feet up and finally get 5 minutes to myself  and do a blog post:)
So the lucky winner of any Heartfelt Creations paper pad of your choice and a few other crafting goodies is................Tracy Stitt!!! Congratulations Tracy....if you email your paper pad choice I will get your candy off to you:)

Now for todays card which is a Hobby House DT card that I should have shared a few days ago with you all:(  But better late than never I think is the moto:)
I have used one of the new Elizabeth Bell art pads from The Hobby House and coloured the cute image in with copics........Spot the mistake (well actually it is was mishap rather than a mistake).....yes I am sure you can all see that the ink ran on her hat, but unfortunately I coloured her quite late at night and hadn't noticed until the morning and I thought well it's just the top of the hat and the actual card is ok...however it actually looks worse when I uploaded the picture, but I still wanted to share her with you all:)

  •  The pin is also from The Hobby House....they come in a kit and you get an assortment of different colours and sizes of  pearls.
  • The paper is one of the Lili of the Valley paper pads.
  • The ribbon and rose are also The Hobby House.
  • The die that I have used to layer my image onto is a Spellbinder die and the flourish on the bow is from the Heartfelt Creations die set - Gift Ensemble.
Sorry this is just a quick write up of details of the card today......I should be back to my normal blogging regime very soon:)

Aperture Frame Card

Hello all! Hows your weekend going? I am thinking you are all enjoying this beautiful glorious sunshine:)
I have now finished moving everything out of my old craft room in the house. It is going to be a good few weeks before everything is in order, but I need to get back to prepping for my shows on 3rd July. Did I mention that I will be on with Emma Lou again:)  This is going to be fun and I am very much looking forward to meeting up with her again:) I just hope we have some lovely weather here in the UK so her and her husband Richard get to enjoy there visit here in the UK:)

Today I am sharing a aperture frame card using the Arianna collection again.....(I will be sharing some sneak peeks of the new collection at the end of the week) I think this card would make a really nice piece to hang on the wall too!

  • The card measures 6 1/2"x 6 1/2".
  • I have cut a decorative panel from the Arianna paper collection and cut out the centre square with a knife.
  • I adhered the small panel which was left to the centre of the card.
  • Next I adhered the frame with foam pads.
  • I stamped the sentiment from the Arianna Hummingbird precut stamp set onto some pink card and die cut it out with the Spellbinder die - Decorative Labels Twenty-Two. I then adhered this to the centre of the frame with foam pads.
  • I have stamped and die cut several Arianna Blooms flowers and the stamens. I have adhered 3 around the bottom corner and one to the top right.
  • I have die cut some of the decorative flourishes in pink card and also some of the lace elements from the Arianna Lace die set and added these within the flower clusters.
  • To finish off the card I have added some tiny pale green flower pearls to the centre of the flowers and added some Stickles Glitter.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and as my daughter has just told me that it gives rain this week I think I will go and enjoy some sunshine and leave my prepping for this evening:)

Take Care:) x

Arianna Bloom Box

Good everyone...I hope you have all had a good day:)

Journey Album Tutorial Links

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for there patience on the Journey Album tutorial links....we had a few hiccups with the links, but finally sorted it out. So if you have purchased it and am awaiting your links then the email address that I need is the same one as you use for your Google account or I can use your username.
For those of you that are still awaiting delivery of your Album kit then this will be posted out to you tomorrow so you should have it by Saturday or Monday the latest I would think as I post them out first class with Royal Mail.  I will also send you your links tomorrow.

 Decorative Arianna Bloom Box

I still have quite a few cards/projects from the Arianna show and am finding it really difficult to decide which to share with you next!  So today I thought I would share the box that I made.....I would like to say it is a quick make and I know what you all think when I say this, but for a box it really was a quick make.  Another thing I find you thinking is, so what does Nikki class as a quick make....well on average it takes me about 2 hours to complete a card and 3 Hours if it is stamped and coloured and quite a bit of die cutting involved.  When it comes to flowers I like to have a stash ready die cut in my most used colours and I always have a plastic tub of the Classic Leaves from Heartfelt Creations. I also have tub with die cut flourishes in.  I find by doing this it is much quicker to make a project.

So for this box I made the basic box using the Crafters Companion Ultimate Pro Boxer....This is such a quick and easy product to use (in my opinion).

  • I started with the base which is a 12" x 12" piece of pink card and made up the box....I do plan on doing a tutorial on a box soon.
  • I used the decorative pink /green paper from the Arianna collection and used the 4 corners and cut them 3 1/2" square. I adhered these to each side of the box.
  • On one of the sides I added a Arianna Bloom flower and a classic leaf which I stamped and die cut out. I also cut the 'My Wish For You' sentiment individually and adhered these to it with foam pads.
  • Next I made the box lid using a piece of 6" square card.....using the boxer the measurements which are already done so when you score it the box lid will fit nicely onto the box base.
  • I cut the Bird Haven image from the papers cutting it 3 1/2" square and adhered this with foam pads to the box lid.
  • I used some small Arianna Bloom flowers and adhered these over the flowers on the image. I also added a few leaves and flourishes from the Arianna Lace die set.
  • Next I die cut 2 of the Arianna Lace decorative elements, cut them in half and adhered one to the inside of each side of the box lid so the decorative part is hanging loosely to create a decorative fringe.
  • I added some satin pink ribbon around the bottom edge of lid. I also cut the pretty floral border from the papers and added this. As a finishing touch I added some pearls on string.
  • To finish off the lid I have added a pink organza bow with a flower gem from The Hobby House.
  • I have used some flower soft on the box as well as a little Stickles glitter to complete the card.
I think this box took me about 1 hour 15mins to make so it really was a quick project to make.
I hope this has made a change from seeing a card:)

Don't forget I still have the Blog Candy running!

New Blog Candy and an Easel Card to Share

A very good morning to you all! Can't believe I am doing a morning post, but it of course Heartfelt Creations Wednesday. My card today isn't on the HC blog, but do hop on over and feast your eyes on some gorgeous creations made by the DT HERE

Journey Album Update

So some of you have already received your box with your album goodies in...I will be sending over your links to the video tutorials in a short while:)
If anyone was to late to order one then I will be taking orders again from today. Also some that were ordered on Saturday or later will be posted out tomorrow.....sorry for the delay, but I was un-indated with many more orders than I had anticipated and have had to order more paper pads so that I can put more kits together.

New Blog Candy Launch

It is time again I think for another blog candy.....How would you like to win a Heartfelt Creations paper pad of your choice!!!!! and of course some crafting goodies including some Hobby House embellishments?  Just leave a comment on this post and you will be included in the random org draw:) You have until next Tuesday at 9pm to enter.

Right now for my card today...a pretty girly easel card adorned with lots of Arianna Blooms!

  • I have made my easel base card 6" square and used 2 of the panels from the Arianna Blooms paper collection.
  • I have cut one of the border patterns and used this as my stopper which I adhered with foam pads. I have added a length of Hobby House pearls for that added bit of gorgeousness (not sure if this is even a word)!...These will be available soon on my website, but as I thought it is taking a little longer to get this up and running than I though:(
  • I have cut the image again from the papers, however you can of course use the Bird Haven stamp. I have layered it onto one of my favourite Spellbinder dies - Floral Oval and adhered with foam pads to the left of the card.
  • Next I stamped and die cut about 3 of the Arianna Blooms all in one flower stamps and matching dies onto pale pink card and inked the edges with a darker pink chalk ink.
  • The leaves are the Classic leaf die and matching stamp and I have used about 8.
  • So next I added all my flowers and leaves and cascaded them from the Bird Haven down to the base of the card.
  • To finish I have added Hobby House pale pink pearls to the centre of all the flowers and my beloved Stickles!
I must leave my post here now as I am moving my craft room out into my log cabin....yay! I new I could finally talk hubby into it, but to be honest it is to make room for my daughter and grandsons!
It is going to take a while to get it all sorted and it now will not just be for crafting, but storage for my website stock and also I need a packing area...I will post some pictures when it is all finished...this is probably not going to be for a while:(...I am thinking that I am going to be needing plenty of coffee:)

Some more Arianna Inspiration

Evening blogging friends! I hope you have all had a good Monday:)

This really is going to be a quick post today....Yeh right I here you saying, but it really is I am totally shattered today.  I have posted a good 1/2 of my Journey Album kits out and am just waiting on another delivery from the US for more paper pads.  I received some more products today which will be going on my website.  It is taking longer than I anticipated as I have changed my mind on the logo not once, not twice, but yes three times:(

Right now onto my card for today again using the Arianna collection, but this time I have gone with a deep red and black theme:

  • I have used the Arianna Bird Haven stamp and coloured it in using distress ink - tea dye and also a cream chalk ink..I wasn't sure how this would work, but I think it is ok.
  • The flowers of course are the Arianna Blooms which I have stamped onto some of the deep read paper from the paper collection. I have diecut the stamens out in black and added a few of the flourishes.
  • I matted the image onto Die cut Spellbinder die - Floral Oval and matted this onto one of the Spellbinder dies - Heirloom Legacy. I have then matted this on to a black base card and with a deep red mat.
  • I have added a few of the Classic leaves from Heartfelt Creations (I just love these), a double bow and a tag using the sentiment from the Arianna Collection.
  • A pearl button added to the centre of the bow finishes off the card.

I hope you like my card choice today and that I am still inspiring you all with this beautiful and versatile collection:)

Take care x

Arianna Quick Card

Hi Everyone! How has your Saturday been......I hope you have all had a good one:)

I am just taking 30 minutes out before cleaning the house again! Archie my 9month old grandson thinks it is rather funny to keep throwing his food from the high chair.....it was quite funny when he first did it:) and Mason who is 3 and should know  better thought it might be good if he did a little digging....in grandmas fuchsia pot :)  It has been nice having them here though and has been company whilst hubby has been fishing.  My daughter has been helping with getting all the kits packed and ready to be shipped and she was also on cooking duty....I am now going to have a few hours in my craftroom before bed:) I think I will adjust to this very hectic house, but I think I will in  be doing a lot more late night crafting...this way all the children will be tucked up in bed:)

My card today is a very quick card to make.....with the clever design of the decorative panels you have instant mat and  layering!

  • I have adhered some pastel green Bazzil cardstock onto my card base which measures 7" square.
  • I chose the bird haven panel design, cut it out and adhered it to the card.
  • Next I cut a length of the pretty floral border and added this to the card about 2" from the bottom.
  • Just under the border I have added a length of cream cotton lace.
  • I have used one of my favourite Martha Stewart punches and made a border in the pastel green card and added this on top of the lace.
  • Next I have added some Hobby House pearls on string and also some small pink pearls.
  • To add some dimension to the bird haven I have stamped and die cut some of the Arianna Blooms flowers in pink card and used just 2 small and one medium and adhered these over the flowers on the panel. I have also die cut a selection of the small stamens and 3 of the flourishes  from the Arianna Lace die set.
  • I then have made a small double organza pink bow, die cut out the sentiment tag and added these to the card. To finish off the bow I have added a small decorative button from The Hobby House.
  • Finally I have added a little Stickles Glitter - Diamond.
I hope you all have an enjoyable evening :)...Now I'm off to my craft room whilst hubby is watching football!

  • I have used cream card on all the layers on this card using a Sue Wilson embossing folder on the top one.
  • I have used the Arianna Birthday stamp which I have stamped with plum ink.
  • I stamped and die cut a set of the Arianna flowers and used the smallest 3. Finishing off the flower with a Hobby House pearl button.
  • Next I added a flourish each side which I die cut from the Arianna Lace die set.

Heartfelt Creations Arianna Official Release

Afternoon crafter!  I hope you are all getting lot's of sunshine...it is beautiful here:)

It is Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and I would like to share my Arianna Blooms card with you all.
It is the official release today so do hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to see all the creations that the design team have made and all the details on this beautiful floral collection.

Instructions:
  • Start with a card blank measuring 6 1/2" square. I chose the beautiful flower border 6" x 6" panel from the paper collection and adhered this to my card base.
  • Next choose one of the smaller decorative panels from the paper collection and adhere this to the right hand side of the card with some foam pads to add a little dimension.
  • Die cut 2 of the decorative lace flowers in some soft yellow card stock (I have used Bazzill).
  • Stamp and die cut the Arianna Blooms again on using the soft yellow card stock. I have used the larger bloom, the medium bloom and one of the smaller blooms. You will also need to die cut some of the delicate flower stamens in pink and yellow card stock. I die cut 2 large in pink, 1 large in soft yellow, 2 medium in pink and also 2 medium in the soft yellow card. Assemble the flower in this order: a lace Arianna flower, large Arianna Bloom, lace Arianna flower, large pink stamen, 1 large yellow stamen, medium Arianna flower, 1 large pink stamen, 2 medium soft yellow and finally a small Arianna Bloom. Adhere this to the panel on the card.
  • Cut out the “Special Wishes” sentiment from the papers and adhere this to the bottom left of the card at just each end allowing the paper to curve a little.
  • Add a small Arianna Bloom to the bottom left and top right of the sentiment. (You will need to stamp and die cut out another set of the Arianna Blooms, but you can use the unused ones in another project!)
  • Die cut out a flourish in pink card and cut this in half and add this to each of the small Arianna Blooms on the sentiment.
  • Finally add some pink pearls to the centre of the flowers.

Album Kit

I am happy to tell you all that I am almost ready to finally be able to offer the Journey Album Kit for sale....I will be back tomorrow or maybe this evening with all the details and a paypal button for you to purchase the kit.

  • The pins are also The Hobby House....these are new and were released in the C&C show last week.
  • The papers are Lili of the Valley...loooove these:)
  • All the other embellishments are also of course The Hobby House.
So just a quickie post today as I have my daughter and grandchildren here for a few days and my grandson wants to do some cutting and sticking before bedtime....don't you just love them:)

Arianna Humingbird Thank You

Good evening my crafting friends..... I think I can now call you all friends, you have all been so kind with all of your comments on my blog, facebook messages and emails...'Thank you'  I hope you are all having a great weekend...it has been a little wet here in the South East, but really muggy:(

I have spent today finishing off the  prepping for my album class tomorrow at Hope and Chances down in Gravesend and have been drawling over the next 2 Heartfelt Creations collections which I will make a start on next week.....the July collection I think is going to be one of my all time favourites and I really can't wait to start playing with it and the August collection......ummm well I am not going to give anything away, but this I know you are all going to loooovvvvveee!!!

I just wanted to post another Arianna card as I have made so many it is going to take a good few weeks to get through them all.

Arianna Hummingbird - Thank You

  • I have used the Arianna Hummingbird precut set - HCPC 3613. I stamped it with Versafine ink - Vintage Sepia and coloured it in with Versa Magic chalk inks - Aloe Vera, Thatched Straw and Hint of Pesto.
  • I die cut out and stamped a selection of the Arianna Bloom flowers and also die cut several of the stamens in different sizes and a couple of the flourishes.
  • I chose a very soft creamy yellow paper from the paper collection and adhered it to my card base.
  • I stamped the sentiment from the Arianna Bird Haven precut stamp set onto white card and used a Spellbinder die - Fancy Tags Two which Ihave die cut out in some Bazzil card stock which matches the papers perfectly.
  • I have  added a length of lace  about an inch from the bottom of the card and then assembled the rest of the elements.
  • I have added quite a bit of Stickles glitter - Diamond and some pearls.
I love the soft tones of this card:)

Arianna quick make card

Afternoon all:)

Wow! Where do I start.....Yesterday was a world wind of enjoyment:)  Very hectic, but I really enjoyed myself.  All the presenters were lovely and all had there own ways of doing the show. I am so pleased that you all loved the collection and I really appreciate all of the emails although I do understand that there were a few technical hiccups with them. So nice to hear emails from a lot of my regular bloggers too:) I really feel like we have all become one big crafting family....thank you:) x

Journey Album Update

Just a quick update: I finally managed to finish the recording of the tutorial this morning and providing everything is ok with the editing side this should be ready by about Tuesday so I will be adding a link to the details and paypal button I am thinking Wednesday.  Sorry for the delay.  I will then be working on the next one....which collection would you all like me touse for the next kit and also would you a card or album? I would love your feed back on this:)

Ok! Now I must share my card with you before my grandson gets here!

  • This is one of the demos from my last show. However I decided to do it a little different than the one here.
  • This is a quick make card using one of the decorative panels from the paper collection as the focal image and matting onto a card base which I have adhered some pale green card to. As the panel already has some decorative borders around it you don't have to do any matting and layering.  This is what I love about Heartfelt creations papers...they are perfect for those days when you want to make a card, but just don't have time to colour and stamp!
  • I have used just used a few of the Arianna flowers and positioned them over the flowers which are around the birdhouse.
  • I have added lace and a border which I made with a Martha Stewart punch along with a strip of the tiny flower border from the papers. To finish the borders off I have  added some Hobby House flower pearls on string.
  • I have cut a sentiment from the papers and added this with an organza bow with a pearl button in the centre.
  • To finish I have added some pearls and some Stickles glitter!  This is the only problem when I am doing my demo's on live tv as I really like adding these finishing touches to my cards and I just don't get the air time to do this, but I hope by showing you the finished sample of the card that I am going to be demo'ing first with all the finishing touches gives you more idea on how you to can bling a card up! Not that all my cards are as blingy, but a few pearls here and there and a little glitter I do think adds that extra wow factor:)

Again I can't thank you all enough for your comments and support X

Take care everyone and I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend....I plan on having a rest day tomorrow (well catching up on house work) and of course I am looking forward to my mini pocket album class on Sunday down in Gravesend:)....it is going to be a great day!!!

Arianna Sneak Peak and New Blog Candy

Evening everyone!  I am sure that most of you are probably already tucked up in bed:)
Ummmm! My posts seem to be getting written rather late at the moment...I do apologise to those of you that visit regularly and realise I haven't updated my posts.  It isn't just that I am busy prepping for my shows, but I do find that I can sit at my computer and work so much easier when the family are all tucked up in bed and I am left to chill for an hour before I turn in.  I always find that if I don't do this after having a day crafting I seem to take my crafting to bed with me and then end up waking in the morning as though I haven't been to bed because I have made a dozen cards in my sleep LOL....the annoying thing is I never seem to get one finished and I wake thinking what it would have turned out like:(....Yes! I am a bit bonkers I suppose, but I am absolutely obsessed with this crafting world and often wonder what sort of life I would have now, if I hadn't found this amazing craft:)  I even have the grandchildren sticking and cutting when they are round...although I do draw the line at them using my Heartfelt Creations stash:)

New Blog Candy Launch

So anyway as this is supposed to be a quick post I better get on with the important stuff!
It is time for me to thank you all again for your amazing support and I can't think of a better way than to give some  craft candy away....As tomorrow is a special One Day Wonder on Create and Craft I would like to give you all the chance to win 2 Heartfelt Creations stamps of your choice!!!! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and your name will be included and picked by random org next Friday.

Now another Arianne Sneak Peek:

This is another card that I plan to demo tomorrow (Thursday) so I will just give you a quick run down on the products that I have used:
  • The image and sentiment is from the Arianna Blooms Bouquet precut stamp set - HCPC 3609
  • The flower is of course the Arianna Blooms precut stamp set - HCPC 3608 and matching die HCD 748
  • The paper is Arianna Bloom  - HCDP1 244
  • I have coloured the image in with Versa Magic chalk ink.
  • I have used Spellbinder dies - Labels four and Gold Labels Four...this is one of my all time favourites:)

Take care x

Another Arianna Blooms Sneak Peek

A very good evening everyone!
It is a rather late post today, but I have had lot's to do today......the hairdresser came which was rather chaotic & quite funny.... just as well I have known her for a few years because whilst she was covering the dreaded grey I was busy colouring my images in for Thursdays shows:) She said it was a first lol, but needs must and I new there was a reason for me having a mobile hairdresser:) I also had my friend Vicky and my daughter Sophie die cutting for me and my craft room looked an absolute bomb site....but I have almost finished....just 2 more cards to prep! I have to say that now I have at least 10 shows under my belt I haven't  had any nerves this time (well probably because I haven't had time to think) and I am really looking forward to the shows....which by the way is now 5!!!!! Yes they emailed me yesterday and said they have squeezed another show in:)
So these are the times:
8am with Nigel
11am again with Nigel
2pm with Leonie
4pm Stephanie ....I am looking forward to this one because although I have met Stephanie I haven't had the pleasure of doing a show with her:)....I think I might just be a little nervous for this one:(
And lastly 7pm with leonie.....oh I am so pleased about this as by this point I might need Leonie to keep me awake:)

Ok so here is another sneak peek:
Arianna Blooms Collection - Thank You So Much

  • I have used the Arianna Blooms stamp and matching die.
  • The beautiful lace die is the Arianne Lace die.
  • The image is Arianna Bird Haven stamp which I have coloured in using Distress ink - Tea dye & Scattered Straw & some Versa Magic chalk ink - Aloe Vera, Hint of Pesto, Wheat and  Thatched Straw. I love using these to colour in my images as it gives them a really soft look. I have used a blending pen to colour in with some blending medium.
I will be demonstrating this card on the 4pm show.

Sorry this isn't a full tutorial, but if anyone would like any info on how I assembled it then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Also I would like to say that I have ordered the blog candy items and they should be with me soon and I will get them all out to everyone as soon as I can....so sorry for the delay in posting them out.

Right now to bed  for me now although I am sure that I will be making Arianna cards in my sleep:)

Take care everyone and thank you so much for all of your thoughtful and kind comments you leave me ....you all brighten my day so much:) X

I will be back tomorrow evening and I am thinking another blog candy is on the Cards!!!! hehe...not sure where that came from:)

Bye for now x

Arianna Blooms Sneak Peek and Blog Candy Winner

Good morning everyone! I am trusting you all had a good weekend. I have been busy prepping for Thursdays 4 shows and had a lovely roast dinner  yesterday cooked by my daughter Sophie which was rather unexpected and totally delicious:)

Blog Candy Winner

Firstly It is time to reveal the Blog Candy Giveaway winner:)..........The winner of a Heartfelt Creations stamp of your choice and some gorgeous crafting goodies is....... Olive Ann Jones!!!! Congratulations Olive:) If you email me your details I will get your chosen stamp ordered.

Update on Journey Album Kit

Now I know you have all been super patient with me announcing when you can order the kits, but I am afraid due to the my busy schedule this week I am unable to finish the video tutorial until this Friday:( and until this is finished and completely ready I don't want to start taking orders.  I hope you understand.  So the date that it will be available to purchase is going to be Monday 9th. I feel this would be much better.  I can then  post your kits out almost immediately after you order and send you a link to the tutorial. I have also been asked for other kits so will be able to work on these next week.

Also the website will be coming soon, but again my priority at the moment has to be prepping for my 4 shows on Thursday......25 cards made and hopefully  another 8 and a few other projects to go and of course the very important demo's (8 in total) using the beautiful Arianna Blooms collection!....which brings me to my card today:) A sneak peek of  one of the cards I have made for the show:

  • This is a very pretty collection with Hibiscus type flower stamps and matching die, beautiful paper pad and also a very delicate lace die set.
  • The stamp I have used on this card is Arianna Vines precut set - HCPC 3610
  • I have used both the Arianna Blooms stamp, matching die and also the decorative Arianna Lace die.
Sorry, but I am not going to do a full tutorial on this card as I really need to get back to creating.....however if any of you would like any info on how I made it then I would be happy to answer any questions, but it will be next week:( Having said that this is one of my planned demo's so do tune in on Thursday....I still don't have times yet, but I will keep you all informed.

I will be back tomorrow with another sneak peek:)

Bye for now x
