The Hobby House - Christmas gift bag

Hi everyone. I am back again today with my 2nd post and this time I would like to share my inspiration piece for The Hobby House.......A Christmas Gift bag.

  • I have used a brown paper gift bag as my base.
  • The sweet image is a Elizabeth Bell topper available from The Hobby House.
  • The paper and card are from my stash.
  • I have layered the image onto a Spellbinder Stately Circle cut out of some Christmas paper by Maja Design called 'It's Christmas Time.
  • The sentiment is a Whimsy stamp - Winter Notables 1 which is also available from The Hobby House.
  • All of the flowers and embellishments are available from The Hobby House and if you hop on over to the Hobby House blog you will find links for each to the Website.
  • I have used some stickles glitter, Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels and some Shabby White Frantage (on the metal corners) to finish of f my gift bag.

Lacy Sunshine - New challenge

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend:)
Today I have 2 projects to share with you and neither are a card.  My first post is a Halloween tag using the gorgeous Pumpkin Boo by Lacy Sunshine. Today over on the Lacy Sunshine blog you will find lots of Halloween projects made by the design team. The design team got to choose one of Heathers Halloween themed digi stamps and I had to have this one ...she is super cute:)
The new theme this fortnight is Stitching, faux or real. To join in the fun just hop on over to The Lacy Sunshine Blog for all of the details HERE

  • I have kept my tag quite simple. I have coloured Pumpkin Boo in with my copics.
  • The Spellbinder dies that I have used are: Standard Circles Small, Stately Circles, 5x5 Matting and Layering Basics, Framed Tags One. The flowers and foliage flourishes are the new Die D-Lites: Blooms 3 and Sprigs.
  • I have used my Sakura gel pen - Clear Sparkle to add a little sparkle to Pumpkin Boo.

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

A very good Wednesday morning my blogging friends. Today I have 2 Heartfelt Creation cards to share with you. They are both very different. One is a vey summery card (I think maybe I am trying to hold onto summer here in the UK a little longer) and the other is a very festive Christmas card.
But first:
If you hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog you will find lots of exciting things happening!
The semi finalists have been chosen and you get to vote for your top 5, and you also get to go in a prize drawer, how cool is that?
I would like to say a big congratulations to each and every semi finalists and I wish you all the best of luck:) x
Heartfelt Creations is also needing your top 5 best designers that you like which will enable Heartfelt Creations to decide which design team members get to stay on for another term and again you will get to go in a prize drawer.
So if you like my style and creations and I have inspired you to be creative with your Heartfelt Creations products and you would  like to continue to seeing more of my designs then head on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to find out more details on how to vote.
So to my cards, this one is the very festive Christmas card:

I have heat embossed using the Holiday Script background stamp with clear sparkle embossing powder over deep red memento ink.

The poinsettia is the new stamp which co-ordinates with the Sun Kissed Fleur die which was released a few months ago.
I have heat embossed each individual flower with Shabby white embossing powder.

I have die cut cut out 2 Christmas trees. One
in pale olive card and one in the dark green
patterned paper from the Frosty Blanket
paper collection. I have layered them up on
top of each other adhering only at the middle
and off set the top one slightly so that it
creates a shadow effect. I have then gently
eased them away from the card so that it
                             gives it a 3D look.

To create a real festive look to my card I
                              added lots of Snow Dust.

Here are products that I have used and the instructions on how I created it in more detail:

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCD 734 – Sun Kissed Fleur die
HCPC 3557 – Christmas Poinsettia precut set
HCPC 3562 – Holiday Script  Background precut set

Cut some chosen red paper from the paper collection and cut 61/2” square and adher to the front of the card. Cut a piece of very pale green card about 5”x6”, stamp and emboss with red embossing powder using the Holiday script background stamp. Adhere to the centre of the card with 3d foam pads. Stamp and emboss with shabby white frontage 2 sets of the sun kissed flower die, using the Poinsettia stamp. Die cut 4 holly berry flourish foliage and stamp with the co –ordinating die.
Die cut one of the trees in pale green card and one in some dark green paper from the paper collection.  Make up 2 layered flowers  and adhere as in picture, add the holly berry flourishes, and adhere the pale green tree to the centre and then fold the other tree in half and adhere only along the centre so that the it sits away from the card slightly. Finish of the card by decorating with the , glitter jewels, snow dust, red glitter  and stickles glitter to finish.  I have decorated  the inside of the card by adhering some matching paper.

Now for my 2nd Heartfelt Creations card today:

I have made a Criss Cross card and instead of adhering the fronts together and using it as a pocket, I have used the ribbon bow to keep them together.

I have decorated the inside of the card so that this is on show when on display

Here is a full list of products and Instructions on how to make up the card:

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:

Instructions:
First make a criss cross card base and adhere your chosen paper from the Posy Patch paper collection.
Die Cut: 4 x Vintage Lace borders, 1 x large Stately Circles in dusky pink card, 1 x med/large Grand Decorative, 1 x Decorative Labels Eight in dusky pink card.
Layer up the circles and adhere together, cut them and adhere at the back of the card so that you have about 1” showing on the 2 sides and 2” showing on the top piece,(you don’t need the 4th piece). Adhere the borders from the inside of each side of the card.  Cut a piece of dusky pink card approximately 4 ½” x 6 ½” stamp and emboss the tropical floral swirl stamp randomly with clear sparkle embossing powder.  Adhere this to the bottom half of the middle of the inside of the card. Choose a quote from the paper pad, cut it out and layer onto dusky pink card so that it has about a ½” border. Now layer this onto the Decorative Labels Five die cut and now adhere to the embossed pink card.  Cut two pieces of patterned paper and adhere to the inside of both the left and right hand side of the card, cut them so that there is a border left around them.
Stamp, emboss with the frantage and die cut 3 x Sun kissed Fleur flowers. Make up one large one, the others I have left single, and adhere these into place as in picture.
Adhere the Vintage lace borders and the vintage cream lace across the middle of each side of the outside of the card. Adhere the ribbon and leave long enough so that you can make a bow to keep the card closed.  Decorate the card with the pearls on thread, decorative pearls, small single pearls and finish of course with a little stickles glitter.

  • The fancy border is made up by die cutting the smaller window from the Decorative Chateau Gate twice and cutting the outer decorative border around it  off and using this. The vase for the flowers is made from this too.
  • The tiny foliage around the window and in the vase is also from the Decorative Chateau Gate die set from Heartfelt Creations which Sir Stampalot have in stock and you can find HERE

HCPC 3561  – Christmas Sentiment Circles precut set
HCPC – Elegant Joy precut set
HCPC  - Holly Berry precut set
HCD  738 - Ornamental  Add On die set
HCD  739 – Banner and Tree Die set
HCDP1 225 – Frosty Blanket Paper Collection
Spellbinder dies used: Stately Circles, Petite Scalloped Circles Large, Decorative Labels Twenty-Two

Other products Used: Grunge Paste, Archival Ink – plum, Embossing ink pad, Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powder – Olyimpic Gold Lustre,  Pinflair Snow Dust, Stickles Glitter – Crystal and Frosted Lace, Red lace, deep plum ribbon, Want2Scrap black adhesive pearls, small cream flat pearls, Prima Dot Stencil, TimHoltz Distress Ink – Antique Linen,  Adhesive, Glossy Accents, foam pads, red, olive green and cream card stock. Heat embossing gun,  Grand  Calibur.

 Instructions
For my layout I have chosen the rich plum coloured paper with the door and wreath.  Start by using the grunge paste,  stencil the dots towards the left of your paper. Leave this to one side and allow too dry.
Cut out your image and layer onto a die cut of the Decorative Labels Twenty-Two using foam pads.
Stamp the sentiment with the plum Archival ink onto cream card and die cut out with the petite scalloped circles. Die cut another petite circle in cream card the next size up. Die cut a stately circle so that the petite circle sits just inside the scallops of the stately circle. Layer them up using foam pads on the sentiment.  Cut out one of the plain panels from the Frosty Blanket papers and stamp the Joy sentiment onto it. Die cut 3 small snowflakes and 3 larger ones. Stamp, heat emboss and die cut the Poinsettia flower set (you only need 2 larger ones, but you can use the others on another project). Die cut 2 of the flower banner/trees in olive green card. Stamp and die cut 2 large holly leaf swirls and 2 small holly leaf swirls. Cut a piece of cream card and write a little about your photo.  Use a little Distress Ink around your circle sentiment, ‘My First Snow’ and just a tiny bit on your snowflakes.
Now that you have everything cut out, stamped  and ready you can now begin to put your layout together.
Begin with the ribbon and lace. Decide where you need the trees to sit and adhere these in position.
Add the ‘Joy’ sentiment and then your image/Decorative Labels Twenty-Two.  Adhere the Circle sentiment with just a little tucked under the image layer. Adhere the holly leaf swirls and layer 2 larger poinsettias and adhere between the image and ‘Joy sentiment. Add the snowflakes as in picture.
Add tiny cream pearls to the snowflakes and black pearls to the centre of the poinsettia. Finish by adding some Snow Dust around your image/photo, around the edge of the ‘Joy sentiment, edges of your main paper and touches of it on to the poinsettia and holly swirls. Oh and add a little stickles too.

Hop on over to the Heartfelt Creation blog for lots more inspiring and gorgeous projects from the Design Team.....they really are a very talented bunch:) x

Lady Heather's Curiosities

Good afternoon fellow bloggers. Ohhhh today is Friday 13th, so how many of you are superstitious?
I have to admit that I am a little....I never walk under a ladder, and if I see a black cat walking across the road then yes, a shiver goes down my spine. The awful thing is that I have broken so many mirrors I must be having many more than just 7 years bad luck!!!!! Today I think I will just stay in my craft room and craft the day away!
But anyway, I am sharing today a special card that I have made for the launch of some new digi stamps that the very awesomely talented Heater Valintin from Lacy Sunshine Stamps has designed!

Click on the banner to check out The Lady Heather Curiosities!

Here is my card that I created using Lucille:

I have coloured Lucille in using Copics

The background of the flower cluster is a Die D-Lites by Spellbinder: Grate Works.
I have used the annoying straggly bits from when you use your hot glue gun to create the cob web effect. ( I new that these would come in handy one day:))!

I have made a lace bow and added a large vintage metal charm with a cameo in the centre which I coloured black.

The wooden embellishments have been coloured in again using copics.
As you all probably know I am more a cute, pretty card type of girl and when I was given this image and told what the theme would be I must say I did get a little freaked out:( But to my complete surprise I really did enjoy making this card and now will be adding more of the Lady Heather Curiosities to my Lacy Sunshine Collection......If you hop on over to the Lacy Sunshine blog you  will  find a special post today to celebrate this new collection!
  • I  have cut the base card out using Go Kreate xxl Frame 2
  • The patterned paper that I have used is First Edition J'adore. I have sanded the edges of the card and paper and inked them to give them an aged effect.
  • I have had the cute owl for sometime and thought this would look good on my card, but have added a little stickles black glitter to give him a little more character. Both the Charm and the owl are from Live and Love Crafts. As is the black lace and heart embellishment.
I really would like to know what you think to my card, so if you have time I would love you to leave me a little comment:).

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Craftin' Boutique - anything with an owl
Frilly and Funky - anything goes

Heartfelt Creations -Christmas Card Collection

Happy Wednesday everyone......It's that time of week again where I have my Heartfelt Creations project to share with you all.  Over on the Heartfelt Creations blog you will not only find lot's of fantastic projects by the Design Team but a sneak peak at the new collection which launches next Wednesday called Season Of Joy!
I have made a chocolate bar box...... A lovely idea that I saw demonstrated some time ago on Create and Craft TV!
I must apologise first for not being able to upload my photo tutorial on how I made my box.....I took photo's when I made my box and well1 can't find them ekkkk don't you hate it when this happens! So I made another box and have taken about 20 pictures with my nice new camera that I got for my birthday and guess what? They have all come out blurred and I don't know why, so started making another box, messed with the setting of my camera and still blurred.....So I have finally given up and have got to wait for my son to come home later this evening so he can put it back to the settings it was when I got it lol....I really am feeling dipsy today, but I promise I will have picture tutorial when my camera has been sorted!! x On the plus side I am going to have a lot of chocolate bar gift boxes to give away as presents:)

So to my box:

Heartfelt Creations products Used:
Other Products Used:
Very pale olive green card stock, Blue card stock, Olive green ribbon, Stickles Glitter Glue, Adhesive, Score Board, Pearls on string, decorative pearls, cream cotton lace, Die cutting machine (ie: Grand Calibur)

Instructions

Measure the bar of chocolate that wish to make the box for. Make the box about 1/4” larger in diameter so that the chocolate slides in nicely. For the box I have used pale olive green card stock.  To decorate the main box I have cut the bird on a holly branch topper from the Christmas Card paper Collection which fits perfectly on the front of the box. Adhere the topper. Cut the sentiments, again from the paper collection and adhere on to the topper. Die cut 2 decorative shapes in olive green card from the Ornamental Add on Die cut Set and also 2 from blue card. Cut the olive green ones in half and cut the tips of the blue ones. Now adhere these to the box as in picture. For the lid I have cut a ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the paper collection and adhered in place. Add the lace around the bottom edge of the lid. Now decorate both the lid and main box with pearls and ribbon, finishing off with lots of glitter. This really is a quick make by just using the papers, but of course you could always use the stamps if you wish!

Again apologise for no picture tutorial today, but I will be doing one soon:)
