Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCDP 1235 Burst Of Splendor Paper Collection
HCPC 3509 Timeless Sentiments precut set
HCPC 3545 Open Leaf precut set
HCPC 3550 Dahlia Bouquet precut set
HCD 736 Open Leaf die set

Spellbinder dies used: Floral Doily Motifs and Floral Doily Accent
Other Items Used: Deep purple and lilac cardstock, water colour card, Versafine Ink: Sepia, Memento ink: Jamba leaves and cottage ivy. Distress ink and markers: Seedless preserves, milled lavender,
Cosmic Shimmer iridescent watercolour paint: purple violet and holly leaf, 2 7”x7” card blanks, pearls, decorative cameo’s, lace, purple and lilac ribbon.

Instructions:
First I made my criss cross card using the 2 card blanks.  Cover the inside middle and the 2 front triangles in lilac card. Then choose some papers from the Burst of Splendor collection and layer onto the lilac card leaving about a cm around the edges so that a little of the lilac is showing. Adhere the card together to give you your base criss cross card.
Using the deep purple card die cut out 5 Floral accent borders and adhere these onto the card as in picture. Take some cream lace and adhere to the top back of the card so that about 2cm or 3cm is showing. Die cut and stamp 3 leaves.  Fussy cut some of the purple dahlia’s from the papers and decoupage them up and adhere to the front centre of the card along with the leaves in a cluster.
Decorate the card with pearls on a string. Make a bow using the lace and adhere to the bottom right of the card. Add a cameo to the centre of the bow.
The Tag: Cut a piece of water colour card about 4.5cm x 5.5cm. Stamp the Dahlia bouquet using the versafine  ink  onto the bottom left corner. Colour up the image using distress markers, inks and cosmic shimmer water colour paint. Stamp the sentiment onto the card as in picture.  Distress around the edges of the card using distress inks.  Matt and layer the image onto deep purple and lilac card stock.  Die cut a floral accent border in pale lilac card and adhere to the top of the tag. Make a loop of deep purple ribbon, make a bow and adhere to the top middle of the tag.  Adhere some pearls on thread to the top of the tag. Finish by adding a decorative cameo to the centre of the bow.

I am just loving these beautiful purples and colouring these stamps in is so easy, you just follow the detail that is already there! Looks like I have put lot's of work into it, but honestly I really haven't that's one of things I just love about the Heartfelt Creations stamps. For lot's more inspiration hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog where you will find some stunning designs by the rest of the Design Team!

Lacy Sunshine - DT card

Hello blogging friends:) I am here today with my card for the new challenge over at Lacy Sunshine.....and as always it is anything goes:) You can also purchase a special digi at a discounted price:)! HERE   If you do use a Lacy Sunshine digi you will get to go in the draw and win a prize!!!
The design team have all used the newest collection of Heathers designs.....Gnomes Of Gnarly Wood - Gnomes on Vacation and mine is Fred's paradise.....isn't he a cutie? Can you see him hiding in the palm tree?!!! I loved using this image as it is something a little different for me and gave me the opportunity to use some freebie papers that I got with the August issue of Making Cards:

  • First I created my clouds: draw a cloud shape and cut it out which is now your mask. Using distress inks and foam distressing tool I then distressed around the mask moving it down and across to create the clouds. This was my first attempt and surprisingly so easy to do:) I have used card of 14cm x14cm (approx.). I only went 3/4 of the way down then I coloured in a sea and also an island.
  • Cut some of the freebie papers for the background to fit the 7"x7" card base.
  • I have also used a 6"x6" green leaf design paper from Kaisercraft called Utopia Collection which I have layered onto my base card.
  • You then need to cut 2 pieces of the paper that you choose (one about 11cm x 12cm and the other 9cm x 12cm) and layer them up onto the green leaf paper at an angle.
  • I coloured my Fred's Paradise image in using pan pastels on the tree and Copics for Fred himself. I have fussy cut the image out.
  • I have then taken my clouds and sea image and added a strip of the sand design paper from the freebie papers to the bottom of it. (approx. 5" deep)
  • Now layer this onto your card and add the Fred's Paradise gnome image onto the left hand side.
  •  I have used one of the sentiments from the freebies and adhered this on the right hand side .
  • To decorate I have used blue flowers, shells and starfish which I have adhered using my hot glue gun.
  • To finish add a sentiment to your card if you wish. I have then used lot's of stickles glitter to finish.

Heartfelt Wednesday - Decorative box

Wow! It's another hot one:)....well it is here in Cambridgeshire in the UK so I hope all over the world you are having glorious hot weather like we are!
So it's Wednesday again and I have another Heartfelt Creations project to share with you.
Today's is a decorative box that I have named Bit's and Bob's box.....I'm sure that I am not the only one that has little thing's that I need to keep but has no home:)
I have used the Burst Of Splendour Collection which is so versatile and full of rich purple and yellow Dahlias.  I am just blown away every time Heartfelt Creations bring out a new collection....You can either use the paper pack on it's own, which I have to say goes so far and you can do so much with or you can use the Dahlia stamps and colour away to your heart's content....oh and don't forget those matching leaf stamps and dies which you will find go with any flowers that you wish....paper or artificial! Don't forget to head on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog where you will find so much inspiration from all of the other Design Team members. You will also find a fabulous video by Emma Lou where she will be teaching you how to take your crafting to the next level by showing you how to create a background using glitter......I am just going to have to have a go at this!!!
My colour scheme today might shock you a little....I haven't gone for my usual purple or pinks but a rich vibrant golden yellow and deep purple (which also happens to be my old school uniform colour...many years ago):

Heartfelt Creations products used:
HCPC 3549 Blooming Dahlia precut set
HCPC 3546 Classic Leaf precut set
HCD  736 Classic leaf die set
HCPC 1235 Burst of Splendor Paper Collection
HCD 728 Timeless Amour

Other Items Used
Box, decorative pearls on string, single pearls, pearl swirls,  Alcohol markers to match Dahlia, Tim Holtz distress markers, 2 shades of yellow cardstock, Versafine – vintage sepia, gold wax gilt, cosmic shimmer water colour iridescent paint –rich gold, acrylic paint in purple

Instructions
Paint the box with the purple acrylic paint. You  don’t need to paint it all only the edges of the box. Measure and cut your chosen paper to fit the inside and outside of the box. (I have allowed a little so that there is still a little purple showing once the paper has been adhered). Adhere on to the box and the lid.
Stamp and colour the large dahlia 4 times. Use some of the cosmic pearlescent paint on some of the petals. The 2 dahlia’s only needs colouring in at the centre petals.
Fussy cut 3 of the dahlia’s so that when layered on top of each other each is a petal smaller than the one on the bottom.....are you still with meJ
Die cut 4 of the flourish heart dies from the Timeless Amour die set in the paler shade of yellow cardstock and 2 more in the deeper shade.  Stamp, colour and die cut the classic leaves twice.  Adhere the flourish hearts onto the top of the box lid as in picture. Now layer up the dahlia and adhere the leaves and dahlia in the centre . With a pencil, mark where the lid comes to when on. (at the sides of the box) take the heart flourishes  and where the pencil mark is cut the top off the flourish heart , this part you adhere to the lid and the other part you adhere to the box  base. So that when the lid is on you don’t loose the shape of the heart flourish. Do this on both sides. Take the other heart flourishes and cut off at the top as in picture. Adhere one to the centre of the front and one on the centre of the back of the box.  Add some gold gilding wax around the edges and a little on the heart flourishes. Colour some cream or white pearls with alcohol markers that match or coordinate with the dahlia. Adhere around the box and  also add some single pearls on the heart flourishes as in picture.  Finally adhere the gold pearl flourishes to as in picture.

I hope you like my project....I will be back next Wednesday with a scheduled post for Heartfelt Creations as I will be on my holiday:).....I also want to apologise again for not visiting all of your fab blogs recently but I am sooooo busy trying to get organised before I go away....but I promised I will get around to them all soon.....:)

I would like to enter my box into the following challenges:
Just Inspirational challenge - photo inspiration
Created With Love - anything goes
Make It Monday - always anything goes
