Shabby Chic Scrapbook Frame

Good afternoon fellow bloggers. Believe it or not I have been trying to post this since 7am this morning however hubby had other plans....... fit all of our interior doors as he has a few days off work and who am I to argue as i've been waiting for over 6 months:).  Even though he has tried his best to keep most of the mess outside I seem to have spent most of the day with the hoover on!

So anyway....... the project that I have to share with you today is a scrapbook page frame.  I have had the frame for months now and last night finally had the inspiration to do something with it.

The gorgeous little boy in the photo is my grandson Mason........ who even at age the age of 2years and 3 months is a little poser :)
I painted the frame using some Docrafts pearl acrylic paint - Mother of Pearl as the base coat. I then stamped around the edges with a Justrite stamp - Classic edge with Stazon ink in teal. I have then used Tim Holtz crackle glaze paint in faded jeans. Finally when all was dry in went over the frame with distress ink - Milled Lavender to give the frame just a little hint of purple.

For the scrapbook page I have used paper from Maja Design.  I have adhered it to the back inside of the frame. I have used embossing enamel to add a little texture to the sides and right hand corner, and
created my page using lots of buttons and flowers. The bird and clock elements I have cut from the Pixie Glen papers.
I have also embossed some of the wooden embellishments.
Finally I have put the frame together without inserting the glass and decorated the ouside of the frame.
