Firstly, Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope I have given you lot's of inspiration.
Well! about me....... I am 43 and have 5 children and 4 young grandchildren.
My crafting journey began about 8 years ago when I closed my florist shop and needed something to keep me busy. I found scrapbooking and soon after discovered the world of card making and I haven't looked back.
Once I started my blog my crafting world changed forever. Designing on many Design Teams including: Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, Crafting When We Can Challenge, In The Pink Challenge, Lacy Sunshine Stamps, Whimsy Digital Stamps, The Hobby House just to name a few.
My biggest moment was when I became a Design Team member for Heartfelt Creations U.S which has now led me down the path of demonstrating and teaching. I am a permanent face over at Sir Stampalot in Peterborough where I demonstrate and teach lot's of different techniques. Although I am still learning myself everyday:) This is what I love about crafting....you never stop learning!
My style may have changed over the years however you will rarely see a creation which isn't adorned in flowers, lace and pearls.....not forgetting my love of glitter:) I also love using Spellbinder dies:).
I am totally addicted and passionate about every aspect of paper crafting and I hope to inspire and share with other like minded crafters.
Update
July 2017
So I thought I should update a few details about myself as a lot has changed in the last few years.
Well after a very stressful few years I divorced my husband and moved closer to the Create and Craft studio in Peterborough. This was a very hard and difficult time as my children were all settled in school and work and I found myself living on my own for the first time in my entire life and not a penny to my name......I had been married for 23 years and not used to being on my own but my passion for crafting and my love of my job in the industry has kept me strong and positive.
Thankfully a few months after my life change I met a kind and wonderful man ....Ozzie :) He has become my bestfriend and we plan to marry in the very near future. We make a great team as he has also got the same passion as I have for crafting so helps me stamp, die cut, colour and prep for my shows :)
Due to the USA shows on Create and Craft moving to Feltham in London we found ourselves living in a caravan for 9 months which crazy as it might seem was a real adventure :)
My crafting became a full time job at this point with me working freelance with many top crafting companies from around the world.
Unfortunately in December last year we were given the news that the USA shows were moving back to Peterborough so within 4 weeks we had to find a new home near to the Peterborough studio which we found in a small village near Boston Lincolnshire. This was a nice barn conversion but was too small for my crafting needs so we have recently moved to a beautiful village called Bicker into a really nice Victorian terrace house which we absolutely love :) At around the same time Heartfelt Creations made the decision to move to a new shopping channel 'Hochanda'
I also made the decision to move with them which I am so pleased I did as it is an amazing company to work with.
I have recently open an online shopping website for my USA followers which is going really well and at this very moment in time I have UK website under construction which will allow all of my followers and friends to purchase Heartfelt Creations products and a few other products that I love to use.
So it really has been a very busy and at times very emotional time but my life is looking up....not just in my personal life but my work too :)
.....I would really like thank each and everyone of you for your continued love and support as I really could not and definitely would be not here today doing what I love most....CRAFTING!!!
Ahh Nikki what a lovely ending to a rather sad story. But, look at you today you have come on leaps and bounds. I love your shows and you look so confident and 'in love' might i say. I am very pleased for you. I have just purchased the young at heart collection and am looking for any inspiration can you point me in the right direction. Continue your journey Nikki and long may it rain. Crafty hugs Mal x
