A Beautiful You

Hello to you all x

I have used Maja Design - Vintage Spring basics to create my card today. Using it both on the lower background paper and for my flowers:

  • I have taken a 6.5"x6.5" card blank. Cut a piece of shimmer pale blue card 6 1/4" square. The stamp that I have used for the background is a small fancy flourish from JustRite Stamp Kindness collection. I have Heat embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Artic Lake Lustre embossing powder. I have distressed the edges just a little with a Tim Holtz distress tool and adhered it to my card base.
  • Take a piece of patterned paper measuring about 3"x6 1/4", distress the edges a little and adhere to the bottom half of the card. I have added some lace and ribbon across the top edge of the patterned paper, which to be honest you can only just about see.
  • The Sentiment is Heartfelt Creations -Bold Vintage Floret Backgound stamp set. I have stamped and embossed using the  Artic Lake Lustre embossing powder on to some of the shimmer pale blue card and die cut out using the 2nd from largest die from Spellbinder Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight. Next I have layered this onto some white shimmer card cut out using Spellbinder Labels Twenty-Eight. I have then layered these onto the largest die from the Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight cut out using some more papers from Maja Design - Vintage Spring Basics.
  • The large flowers I have made are Spellbinder Spiral Blossom and the smaller ones are Bitty Blossom. I have die cut them out onto the Maja Design patterned paper and added pearls to the centre.
  • The foliage are Heartfelt Creations Open Leaf die and stamped with the co-ordinating Open Leaf Stamp set. I have finished off the left hand side flower cluster by adding an organza bow with a pearl in the centre.
  • To finish of the card I have added some pearl flourishes, flat backed pearls around the sentiment and some Cosmic Shimmer White Ice Glitter Jewels around the outer edge of the card.
I hope all have nice day x

Happy Friday Everyone

Afternoon everyone. I hope you are all having a good Friday. This is just a quick post from me today as I am off away for the weekend:)
My card I would like to share with you is a using a mix of Heartfelt Creation products, Teresa Collins Papers, and Spellbinder dies. I have made the flowers using Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret stamps and dies and the small roses are Spellbinder Bitty Blossom. I have used Spellbinder Majestic Labels Twenty- Five to frame the sentiment.

I have layered the large flower in the centre onto a small Stately circle and added some lace around it. I have distressed the edges of the paper a little with Black Soot distress ink. I have finished off the card with a little Stickles glitter - Platinum around the edge of the card and a little on the flowers too.

Happiness Is A Day Shopping

Good morning everyone:) A quickie post today as I am off to London tomorrow to spend the weekend with my wonderful son Daniel....who I am so, so very proud of:) It is also my youngest daughters birthday tomorrow and she will be 13 (where has that time gone), so my card today reflects what I am going to be doing this weekend:).....Lots of shopping I am thinking:) x

  • I have used a black 7"x7" base card.
  • The patterned paper that I have used is designed by Teresa Collins for Creative Expressions.
  • I have stamped onto the black paper with a heartfelt Creations stamp - Sun Kissed Fleur Swirls in black Archival Ink. Matted this onto some co-ordinating minty green card leaving a small border and adhered it to my card base. I have the used strong double sided tape around the edge of the black patterned paper and adhered some micro beads onto it. Rub the micro beads gently with your finger to help them adhere to the tape.
  • I have then stamped the Handbag which is another Creative Expressions stamp set called Bags Of Style onto the tiny spot minty green paper from the paper pad, I cut this out with the Spellbinder Labels Four Small. I then have die cut the 2nd largest die from the Spellbinder Timeless Rectangle out of the black patterned paper that I have used. I have matted this onto some black card (I used the A2 matting Basics A Spellbinder die). I have now adhered this at an angle on the left hand top corner of the card.
  • I have stamped the sentiment on to the minty green patterned paper and die cut out using Labels Four Small and adhered it onto the bottom left hand corner of the card.
  • I have then used Blooms Three from the Die D-lites Spellbinder range to make the flower in the right hand corner. The tiny flowers that I have added are Spellbinder Bitty Blossom. The swirl foliage that I have used is Die D-Lites - Sprigs.
  • I have made a bow using co-ordinating satin ribbon and added a black Dazzler to the centre.
  • To finish off the card I have added some black glitter and Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles.

Sweet Juliet - Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

A very good morning to you all, I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday:)
When I first saw this new collection from Heartfelt Creations I new in an instant that it was going to be 'another one of my favourites'......Ok I love them all hehe:) However this collection, 'Sweet Juliet' is just amazingly beautiful!
This collection is inspired by the beauty of ancient rooms locked away and laden with antique treasures. These rooms are filled with yellow candlelight and dusty vases. Crinkly letters lay scattered around, turning crisp and fading more every day. A postcard lays covered in thick dust, forgotten in a dark corner. Wildflowers lay around, as crisp and crinkled as the beautiful wallpapers. Using these detailed floral and typographical stamps, complemented by black, gold and burgundy papers will enable you to create an outstanding classical creation.
Don't forget also that you can have a chance to win the whole collection worth $150, so be sure to hop on over to the Heartfelt Creation blog and leave a comment and also check out the other Design Team members beautiful creations.
I have 2 projects today to share with you all today.
The first is a card, pretty simple in style with not to much fuss......I know! this was a little difficult for me, but I do have a few weeks more where I will be sharing some well lets say a little more over the top projects with you.

Because I Care

Instructions:
Die cut a small flower in burgundy card and a large flower in some patterned paper from the Antiquity collection. Make the flower up using a brad in the centre. Die cut a 2nd smallest Stately Circle and the smallest Stately Circle in burgundy card. Die cut 3 of the foliage that come in the Sweet Juliet Die set in cream paper/card and distress with Tea Dye ink whilst in the die. Cut the foliage in 1/2 . Stamp the sentiment ‘Because I Care’ onto cream card, cut out and distress a little with ink.  Stamp and cut out the Post Card using the Sepia ink onto cream card. Distress the post card with a mix of the distress inks listed above. Layer the post card on to a piece of burgundy card with a small border. Choose some paper from the Antiquity paper collection (I have used a 6”x6” panel)  layer on to burgundy card again leaving a small border. Take some cream card and adhere to the card base leaving a ¼” border.  Now adhere the 6”x6” panel matt and the post card onto the card as in picture.
Layer the foliage and flower onto the 2nd smallest Stately Circle and adhere to the bottom left hand side of the postcard. Make a lace bow and adhere this to the top right hand side of the post card and adhere the sentiment to the centre. Adhere a length of lace about an inch from the bottom of the card and add a length of decorative pearls on string along the centre of it. Finish by adding a few pearls to the top left and bottom right of the postcard and a small one in the centre of the sentiment.  Finish of by adding some stickles glitter around the edges of your layered matts on the card and a little to the flower.

Now my 2nd project that I am sharing with you today is an altered box. I just love making these type of projects and because the Heartfelt Creations paper collection are all 12"x12" they are perfect for covering these types of items.

In The Pink Challenge

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well:)
Today I would like to share my DT card for In The Pink Challenge where the theme is Luscious Lace.....an easy one for me :)
I decided to use some gorgeous black lace on my card and have also made a lace flower:)
This is my last card that I will be making for In The Pink as I have stepped down from the design team. I have stepped down from quite a few over the last few weeks as I want to concentrate more on my demonstrating and classes. It is such a shame, but I just don't have enough hours in the day so I have had to make some rather tough choices, but on the bright side I get to do the thing I love most and earn some pennies too:)...so that I can buy more stash hehe:)
As you probably know I did a demonstration for Sir Stampalot a few weeks back which went extremely well and Janice invited me back to do a class:)  So I have a class on 9th November...which I do believe has already sold out, but don't worry there are going to be more to come:) I will keep you informed on dates.
So here is my card:

  • I have used a black card base  7"x7"
  • The stamp set is Belle Of The Ball by Creative Expressions. I have coloured the gorgeous dress in with Cosmic Shimmer - Acrylic Drawing Ink. I have used the border stamp on the pink card which you can just about get a little peak at.
  • I have matted and layered my paper (Maja Design) onto black card and adhered it to my card at an angle.
  • I have used Spellbinder die - Decorative Labels Eight and die cut it in pink card. I have added black lace around it from the back to give it a black lace border. The Spellbinder die that I have used die cut the dress out from is - Opulent Ovals.
  • The corner dies and foliage flourishes are Die D-Lites - Corner Flourish and Sprigs.
  • I have added my lace flower and pink roses in a crescent cluster at the bottom of the dress.
  • To finish my card off I have added a small pink organza bow with a rose in the centre and the tag is again stamped with a sentiment from the collection which I have die cut out using the smallest die from the Decorative Labels Eight. I have cut another one out in black, cut in half and adhered to the back so that it gives you a shadow.
  • You will also notice that I have also added a little frantage to my card.
  • To finish I have added a few pink pearls, cream pearls and a little stickles:) x
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Fab and Funky - Ribbon
Inky Chicks - 2 different die cuts
Top Tip Tuesday - Flowers
