Alberto Gava new Whimsy Digi Release

Good afternoon fellow bloggers!


I am back with my 2nd post today which is a card using a new Whimsy Designer Alberto Gava digi called Princess of My Life. I have coloured the simply gorgeous Princess of My Life in using Copics:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20
Hair: E42, E47
Veil: RV91
Hat, Train AND Underskirt:RV91, RV93, RV95 & RV99
Wings: BG000, G0000, G000
Scallops on Dress: E50, E51, E55
Main Dress: BG 53, BG57, BG72, BG09
Outer Edge: G0000, G00
I have then decorated her wings, coat and hat with some tiny pearls and added some very fine glitter.
  • The main card base measures 7"x7" and I have used a deep burgundy card stock. I have cut the front of the card to 5" so that the inside can be seen when on display.
  • The papers are from LOTV called Antebellum.
  • The sentiment and die which I have layered it onto are from Whimsy Stamps: Fanciful Birthday Notables1 available HERE and Elegant Notables 1 Die which you can find HERE
  • The die that I have used to cut out the image is from Spellbinder - Labels Thirteen and I have layered this up onto a dusky pink dot embossed card cut out using Spellbinder Grand Decorative Ovals. Before adhering this to my card I have box pleated some mesh ribbon and adhered it to the back of it.
  • I have used lot's of frontage, flowers, metal decorative vintage corners and pearls which are all available from The Hobby House.
  • To finish I have added a vintage shabby seam binding ribbon bow layered onto a bow made from the mesh ribbon and added a vintage charm which I have decorated with some frantage and a pearl in the centre.

Elphie Elephant - Get Well Card and Gift Box

Hi fellow bloggers, I hope you are all having a nice Sunday:) x I am back today for my 2nd post.....
My inspiration card for Whimsy Digital!  I have used a digi  by StampArt Design By Kathryne called Elphie Elephant which you can find HERE




 
This is the inside of the card

  • The card is 7"x7" and I have coloured Elphie in using copics.
  • Whimsy Stamps products that I have used are: The sentiment on both the inside and outside of the card which is Everyday Saying and Notables 4 which you can find HERE and Dainty Notables 4 Die which you can find HERE
  • The papers that I have used are Maja Design: Vintage Summer Basics which are available from Live and Love Crafts! I am just loving these papers at the moment:)
  • The punch that I have used is a Martha Stewart round the edge punch.
  • I have used Spellbinder Timeless Rectangle.
  • The Mulberry Roses, gems and pearls are all from The Hobby House
  • To finish my gift set off I have added a little stickles glitter:)

Balloon Journey - Happy Retirement

Evening fellow bloggers!  I hope you have all had a good day:).  I am back for my 2nd post today with my inspiration card for Whimsy Digital. I have used a Lia Stampz digi called Balloon Journey, which I thought would be perfect for a retirement. You can find this digi over at the Whimsy Website HERE




  • I have used copics to colour my image. I have made a small cloud stencil and used Distress ink 'Blue Sky' to create the sky effect behind the balloon!
  • The papers are Prima - Engraver and the gingham papers are from a paper pad by Paper Cellar which I have had in my stash for a few years now.
  • My base card is 7"x7" which I have covered in a blue cardstock. 
  • I have distressed the edges of the papers with a Tim Holtz distress tool and inked with Walnut stain and Tea Dye Tim Holtz Ranger Distress inks.
  • The wooden embellishment buttons are from Live and Love Crafts. I have added some blue twine to them.
  • The Happy Retirement stamp I borrowed from my crafty friend Vicky! (thank you) and the 'never to late' stamp is from Stampers Anonymous - Tim Holtz Collection. I have again distressed the edges with distress inks.
  • The metal key embellishment and butterflies are from Prima.
  • I have used gingham ribbon for the bow from The Hobby House as is the vintage metal clock and the vintage metal corners.
  • I have also decorated the inside of the card to co-ordinate with the front of the card.
  • To finish I have added a touch of Sickles Glitter - Tiara.

Whimsy Digital DT card - Shazzie

Good morning fellow bloggers I hope you are all enjoying the weekend:) x
Today I would like to share with you my Design Team card I have made using the very pretty Shazza by Marika Collins for Whimsy Digital! You can find Shazzie on the Whimsy Stamps website HERE




  • My base card is 7"x7" which I have adhered Peachy/orange cardstock to.  I have coloured the image in using copics.
  • The papers that I have used are by First edition called New Leaf which are available from The Hobby House.
  • The beautiful lace that I have used is from Live and Love Crafts.
  • I have layered Shazzie onto peachy/orange card diecut out using Grand Decorative Oval one. The border die is Spellbinder A2 Scalloped Border One.
  • The sentiment that I have used is Whimsy Stamp - Everyday Sayings Notables 4 which I have stamped onto the peachy/orange cardstock and cut out by hand. You can find it HERE on the Whimsy website
  • The paper flowers encasing the roses are from the Spellbinder Jewel Flowers and Flourishes die set. I have also used the flourish from the same set.
  • The roses, decorative pearls and the pearl buttons are from The Hobby House.
  • The Daisies are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
  • To finish off my card I have added a little stickles.

Dt Team Card For Whimsy Digital Challenge

Good morning fellow bloggers and a very big thank you for all of the lovely comments you all have been leaving and a big thanks to all my new followers :) x
Today is my first challenge since joining the Whimsy Digital design team and the theme is a little tricky for me ...Clean and Simple!!!! As you all know that's something I definitely don't do:) However I love them it's just I do get carried away with adding those flowers and bling...but look!!! I have been really good and not a flower in sight for this card:)

I have coloured 'Birthday Ducky' with copics and added a little glitter.

I have used a freebie embossing folder that I got with a magazine a while back and gently gone over with pan pastels.

Not the best of photo's as the lens broke on my camera and have had to use my phone:(

 
I have used Whimsy Stamps products: Banner Pennant die set, Bottle Cap die, Elegant Notables 1 die (cut in half to make a fancy frame), Party Mini Letter Seals stamp.
I have used a craftworks card for the base card and created an easel card. The frame is a Go Create die which I have then added elegant notables cut in half around it to make it a fancy frame.

Lizzie....Fun in the Sun

Hi fellow bloggers.....Todays post has been scheduled as like Lizzie the image on my card, I am away on my hols with hubby and family in Dubai :)
My card today is my inspiration card for Whimsy Digital and as I already mentioned I have used the gorgeous Lizzie by StampArt design by Kathryne. You can find Lizzie HERE





  • The card is 7"x7" and I have used some pale blue card stock to cover my base card.
  • The papers and sentiment are freebies from Augusts Making Cards.
  • I have cut and matt and layered the papers up
  • I have  used Go Create die: rectangular Frames frilly #2 and cut out using the sand effect paper from the freebies and layered my ' Lizzie' image onto it  after colouring with copics and fussy cutting her out.
  • The shells, starfish and blue mesh are all from Hobbycraft. I have tied a bow each end of the mesh with twine to make a large bow and adhered the shells and starfish onto it using my hot glue gun. I have also added a few flowers.
  • Make a bow with the blue mesh, twine and some coordinating blue ribbon and adhere to the right hand side. I have then added a starfish and flower to embellish it.
  • Too the left hand side I have added a small cluster of flowers and shells with twine intertwined between them.
  • Of course I have then added a few pearls and lot's of stickles glitter to finish:)

Sapphire

Afternoon fellow bloggers! Hope you are all still enjoying this weather even though I do feel we could do with a drop of rain....my grass doesn't look to happy:(....but I'm not complaining:)
Today I would like to share my second post.......My  Whimsy Inspiration card ......I have used Sapphire by StampArt  design by Kathryne! You can buy her HERE




  • I have used a 7"x7" base card and adhered purple cardstock to it.
  • The papers that I have used are Maja Design - Vintage Summer Basics which I have distressed with Seedless Preserves distress ink. On the purple card backing the image I have used a Martha Stewart punch.
  • The dies that I have used are Spellbinder - Decorative Labels Eight, Jewel Flowers and Flourishes and Go Kreate frilly 2
  • The sentiment is also a digi StampArt by Kathryne.
  • I have used frantage - shabby wine, Frantage crushed glass glitter and embossing tinsel around Sapphire. I have also added a little stickles and some tiny pearls.
  • I have coloured Sapphire in with copics and added stickles glitter in milled lavender, lavender and diamond. Whilst the glitter is still wet I have added some small lilac pearls.
  • The pearl floral trim, pearl button and roses are from The Hobby House.
  • All of the other flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
  • I have added a lush bow to finish my card off.

Whimsy Digital Design Team Member:)

Evening friends and fellow bloggers! Before I go on I know what you are all probably thinking....what another one:)....yes I am now on yet another design team....

 I would like to say a big thank you Whimsy Stamps Digital for giving me this wonderful opportunity:)
I was asked the other day...where do I get time?  The answer to that is I craft everyday....if I am not crafting I am usually hoping around blogland.....and most recently Facebook:). I dedicate many hours in the day for my crafting in between housework and the family:) I sometimes get up at the crack of dawn to get my design team commitments finished in time.....and have been known to craft into the early hours..... I just love it:)....I am totally obsessed to this world of crafting and have made lot's of new friends along the way:) I have never been one to just sit around so I can't think of any thing better than paper crafting.......:)
So anyway onto my card that I would like to share with you tonight......The digi is one of the new July releases from Whimsy Digital Stamps...She is a cute little fairy called Jem created by Stampart Design...isn't she the cutest? You can buy her HERE




  • I coloured her in using copics and used lot's of glitter on her.
