'It's a Girl' Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well:)

Today is of course Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and although most days I share some Heartfelt inspiration today you can hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations official blog and find lot's more inspiring projects that the very talented design team have created:)...I know I always say this, but they really are an amazing design team:) I have just received all the samples for next Thursdays (5th June) 4 shows ...oh yes! I did say 4:) The projects that Emma Lou has sent are all absolutely stunning and I can't wait to share them all with you:) I still don't have the times for the shows yet, but I promise I will keep you all posted:)x

I have a Criss cross tag card to share today which is one of my favourite style of cards to make:)

This is the tag inside the card.

Instructions:
  • Take 2 cream card blanks measuring 6 3/4" square. (example pictures are white as I didn't take pictures at the time of making this card)
  • Cut the front of both diagonally to create triangles on each.

  • Adhere each card together on top of each other so that each triangle is opposite, which now creates your criss cross at the front.
  •  You now have your main base card that is ready to decorate. You could also make your base card out of co-ordinating card stock.

  •  I have chosen some of the delicate pink and green floral paper panels from the collection and cut it in half. I have then matted each triangle onto some olive green card which measures about 6 1/2" square to give the triangles an 1/8" border.
  • Add a magnet to the inside of the left hand triangle of the card (right hand corner) and the other part of the magnet to the right hand outside of the card (the outer side).
  • Adhere both of matted triangles onto the front triangles of the main card.
  • Open the card up and adhere some lace down each side of the triangles and adhere some of the gingham patterned paper from the paper collection to fit them exactly.
  • Die cut out the decorative circle from the Raindrops on Roses in olive green card. Cut the circle in half and adhere both next to each other on the inside of the card as in picture.
  • Adhere one of the pretty floral 6” panels to the inside centre of the card.
  • Cut out the Gift of Love border and add a length of it across the bottom of the floral panel adhering only at each edge and just along the very bottom to create a pocket so that the tag does not fall out.
  • Cut a length of the pink/lemon decorative border measuring 5 1/2" in length. Adhere this just at the edges to create a band to the centre of the card.
  • Decorate the front of the card using 2 pink bootie die cuts, 2 circle sentiments, a tag from the paper collection, a pink satin bow and finishing off with a medium and large flower from the die set which I cut out in white 100GSM paper and inked with some pink chalk ink.
For the Tag:
  • Cut a piece of olive green card 4 3/4" x 7". Adhere one of the decorative panels to the front.
  • Die cut a decorative circle from the Raindrops on Roses collection in olive green card and add this to the centre of the panel.
  • Stamp and die the “Congratulations” sentiment and add this to the centre of the decorative circle.
  • Add the “A Gift of Love border” (which you cut from the paper collection) to the top of the tag along with a large die cut flower from the die set.
  • On the back of the tag add a length of the lace at the top and a pink satin ribbon loop. Choose a panel from the paper collection and adhere this to the tag. (This will hide the bottom of the ribbon and loop).
  • To finish off add a few pearls, the pearl brad to the centre of the flowers and a little Stickles Glitter.

 The finished tag

I really do love these cards as they are a card and gift all in one and hopefully one of those cards that the recipient will want to treasure forever:)

Don't forget my blog candy giveaway which I launched yesterday....just click on the button in the side panel for all the details:)

Take care and enjoy the rest of your day:) x

Something a little shabby

A very good evening everyone! Oh yes! It has been a total washout in my area and I am just hoping that we will actually get to see some sunshine this Bank Holiday.

Now I know you are all probably getting pretty bored with me posting baby cards, but as I made over 30 for my show I haven't got any other creations to show you....only using the new Heartfelt Creations new collection which I can share some sneak peeks soon with you:)

So any way I thought I would share this fairly quick baby boy card where I have just used the papers and the tags from the paper collection, the decorative circle die from the Raindrops on Roses die set, added a bow and finally a flower which I created with the flower dies from the Sweet Lullaby die set.

  • I have used a Tim Holtz distress tool to create a shabby feel around the edges of the card and tag.
  • Matted a piece of blue card stock to the card base which measures 5 3/4" square.
  • Next I cut out a pretty decorative flower panel from the papers and cut this down to 5" square. I e have adhered this to the card with foam pads.
  • I have cut one of the decorative borders and added this along the top of the decorative paper mat.
  • Next I die cut the decorative circle in blue card and adhered this to the top left of the card.
  • I made a shabby bow with some pale blue seam binding and also a pearl string bow. I cut the 2 tags from the papers and added a piece of lace to the bottom of the large one. I have also cut out a little border sentiment which I have added across the bottom of the tag.
  • Next I added the tags before adding the bows.
  • I die cut the small flower from the die collection in white paper (100GSM). I have added a little blue chalk ink to the tips of the flowers.
  • To finish I have added a few pearl brads and some small pearls.
  • Oh and of course a little Stickles glitter.
This is a very quick card and you could use any of the recent Heartfelt Creations paper collections to create a similar card.

I hope you get some good weather this bank holiday and I will be back soon with another creation and the launch of another blog candy!!!!!

Floral Birthday

Evening fellow bloggers.....I hope you are all well:)

Just a quick post today....if that is at all possible from me:)

The card I would like share is a birthday card using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Lullaby collection.
This collection is so versatile...not only for babies and children!

  • I have adhered a pink mat onto a scalloped card blank and also adhered some pretty blue floral paper from the paper collection at an angle.
  •  I chose one of the panels from the papers and adhered this to the card using some foam pads.
  • The die cut that you can just about see behind the floral oval is the Heartfelt Creations Raindrop on Roses decorative circle.
  • I have used several of the flowers from the Sweet Lullaby die set and die cut them out in some pearl paper in both pale blue and pink.
  • I have used the decorative sentiment from the Sweet Lullaby sentiments stamps and matching die and stamped the 'Happy Birthday' in pink and die cut it out using the Spellbinder small/medium floral oval. I have inked it in some pink chalk ink.
  • I have added a length of lace across the bottom of the flowers.

Just a quick mini tutorial today:(
I am off to have an early night so that I can be up nice and early so that I can make a few samples for the Hobby House show on Tuesday....Jo Channing will be bringing you all some beautiful new products. Sorry I am not sure on the time yet:(

Take care and I will be back soon:)

A Gift of Love

A very happy Wednesday to you all:)

So firstly an update on the Journey album kit.  I have filmed half of the tutorial and plan on finishing this off tomorrow....as you may well have guessed it is quite a long one.
I am estimating that this kit will be available from next Wednesday and as I said in yesterdays post the cost is £15 and payable through paypal.

I understand that albums are not everyone's thing so my next kit will be a criss cross card with a tag.
This kit should be available within the next 2 weeks.

Now onto the card that I would like to share today....it is of course Heartfelt Creations Wednesday:)
This card isn't on the Heartfelt Creations blog this week....due to the fact that I have so much crafting going on  ( I of course have to share myself with the family too) I am able to opt out of doing a full tutorial and loading my card/project up on there blog each week. So you will find that I probably will only post on there a few times a month....sorry:( Having said that please hop on over and take a peek at the gorgeous makes that the rest of the DT have created HERE

A Gift of Love

  • I have of course used the latest collection - Sweet Lullaby:)
  • I matted a soft sage green card onto my card base which measures 7" square and chose some patterned paper measuring 6 1/2" square from the collection and matted this onto it.
  • I die cut out the Spellbinder die Reflective Moment which is one of the new ones. I inked the edges a little with some pink chalk ink and added this to my card with foam pads...I put the left hand side pads slightly more away from the edge as I have a removable decorative tag which I thought would be nice to add the birth time, date and name of the baby and maybe even add a gift card to the back!
  • I chose one of the panels from the paper collection and adhered this to the Spellbinder die.
  • I die cut out the pram and 2 wheels.  Before adhering the pram I have threaded some lace through the pram hood. I adhered the pram just at the edges and adhered it to the card giving it a slight curve. I added the wheels with tiny foam pads.
  • Next I have added a pink band of ribbon and lace across the card and also a pink bow...To allow the tag to slide under the ribbon, don't add any glue/tape here.
  • I have added a pink flower which is in the die collection and placed it in the centre of the bow.
  • I have cut a tag out from the papers and added this to the bottom of the bow.
  • The final element that I have added is the sentiment which I have also cut out from the papers.
  • To finish off the card I have added some pearls and yes! a little Stickles glitter.
When I started this post I decided not to do a full tutorial, but I just can't help myself lol......I hope you have enjoyed my post today:)

I will be back soon take care x
