A very good morning fellow bloggers. How is your week going? I hope you have all been doing lots of crafting. I myself are working on some samples for my demonstration on Saturday at Sir Stampalot in Peterborough. So not much sleep as my mojo is working over time and I just don't seem to be able to keep up with myself :) Does this happen to you?
So today sees another new challenge over at In The Pink and the theme is one of my favourites ....BLING I UP!
And we have a nice little surprise for you this time..... Lili of the Valley have kindly given us a little bit of candy for this challenge post...  and we have a lovely stamp of theirs to give to one of the Perfect Pinkies chosen.  We'll put all five Bling PP's into a hat and pull out one lucky winner to receive this gorgeous stamp - which is the same image as our lovely Lis has used.
Hop on over to the In The Pink Challenge Blog for lots of gorgeous pink cards with lots of bling from our very talented design team. Just remember that your card must follow the theme and be predominantly pink! We can't wait to see your creations:)
For my card I have used papers from a paper pad from Lili of the Valley and NitWit Collections by Mary Fran called Always and Forever. The gorgeously sweet image is a Lacy Sunshine digi called Eleanor- Antheia. I wanted to go for a vintage look with this card, I am just loving vintage papers at the moment:)

  • I have used The Hobby House flowers, Cameo, pearls and  fancy flourishes.
  • I have used copics to colour Antheia and used a white gel pen to create a few high lights.

Lady Heather's Curiosities

Good afternoon fellow bloggers. Ohhhh today is Friday 13th, so how many of you are superstitious?
I have to admit that I am a little....I never walk under a ladder, and if I see a black cat walking across the road then yes, a shiver goes down my spine. The awful thing is that I have broken so many mirrors I must be having many more than just 7 years bad luck!!!!! Today I think I will just stay in my craft room and craft the day away!
But anyway, I am sharing today a special card that I have made for the launch of some new digi stamps that the very awesomely talented Heater Valintin from Lacy Sunshine Stamps has designed!

Click on the banner to check out The Lady Heather Curiosities!

Here is my card that I created using Lucille:

I have coloured Lucille in using Copics

The background of the flower cluster is a Die D-Lites by Spellbinder: Grate Works.
I have used the annoying straggly bits from when you use your hot glue gun to create the cob web effect. ( I new that these would come in handy one day:))!

I have made a lace bow and added a large vintage metal charm with a cameo in the centre which I coloured black.

The wooden embellishments have been coloured in again using copics.
As you all probably know I am more a cute, pretty card type of girl and when I was given this image and told what the theme would be I must say I did get a little freaked out:( But to my complete surprise I really did enjoy making this card and now will be adding more of the Lady Heather Curiosities to my Lacy Sunshine Collection......If you hop on over to the Lacy Sunshine blog you  will  find a special post today to celebrate this new collection!
  • I  have cut the base card out using Go Kreate xxl Frame 2
  • The patterned paper that I have used is First Edition J'adore. I have sanded the edges of the card and paper and inked them to give them an aged effect.
  • I have had the cute owl for sometime and thought this would look good on my card, but have added a little stickles black glitter to give him a little more character. Both the Charm and the owl are from Live and Love Crafts. As is the black lace and heart embellishment.
I really would like to know what you think to my card, so if you have time I would love you to leave me a little comment:).

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Craftin' Boutique - anything with an owl
Frilly and Funky - anything goes

Lacy Sunshine Challenge - Punches/Dies

Good morning fellow bloggers! It is time for another challenge over at The Lacy Sunshine challenge blog and the theme is dies/punches. Don't forget that you can enter using any image and that we have a loyalty scheme for a Lacy Sunshine digi too!!!! For the challenge the design Team got to use the totally gorgeous Flower pot pretties, which gave me the opportunity to make another seed packet gift set. The beauty with using digi's is that you can make the image any size so I made them smaller than I normally would for a card, which I must say I think is much harder to colour in as much detail. However having said that I am really pleased with how my project has turned out!
I have used Flower pot pretties - Peonie as my main image on the front of the card! For all the other details on the digi's that I have used please visit the Lacy Sunshine Blog HERE or the official Lacy Sunshine Website HERE.

This is showing the inside of the gift card without the seed packets

The seed packets inside the pockets

 The individual seed packets
  • I have coloured the images in using copics
  • The main card is 7"x7" and I have made a spine which is 1/2" wide.
  • The papers are Maja Design - Vintage Spring Basics
  • The Spellbinder dies that I have used are Grand decorative circles, Blossom Five, A2 Locking loops
  • I have used distress inks around the images to soften them up.
  • The flowers which I have made are from a punch by Tonic
  • I have used a Martha Stewart punch to give the papers that I have used a pretty border
  • The lace, lilac rose, pearl flowers, pearl on string and self adhesive pearls are all from The Hobby House.  All the other flowers are available from Wild Orchid Crafts.
  • I have used Lily of The Valley stamps for the tag sentiment and the sentiment inside the gift card.
  • To finish of my gift set I have used Stickles Glitter (of course)!

Lacy Sunshine - DT card

Hello blogging friends:) I am here today with my card for the new challenge over at Lacy Sunshine.....and as always it is anything goes:) You can also purchase a special digi at a discounted price:)! HERE   If you do use a Lacy Sunshine digi you will get to go in the draw and win a prize!!!
The design team have all used the newest collection of Heathers designs.....Gnomes Of Gnarly Wood - Gnomes on Vacation and mine is Fred's paradise.....isn't he a cutie? Can you see him hiding in the palm tree?!!! I loved using this image as it is something a little different for me and gave me the opportunity to use some freebie papers that I got with the August issue of Making Cards:

  • First I created my clouds: draw a cloud shape and cut it out which is now your mask. Using distress inks and foam distressing tool I then distressed around the mask moving it down and across to create the clouds. This was my first attempt and surprisingly so easy to do:) I have used card of 14cm x14cm (approx.). I only went 3/4 of the way down then I coloured in a sea and also an island.
  • Cut some of the freebie papers for the background to fit the 7"x7" card base.
  • I have also used a 6"x6" green leaf design paper from Kaisercraft called Utopia Collection which I have layered onto my base card.
  • You then need to cut 2 pieces of the paper that you choose (one about 11cm x 12cm and the other 9cm x 12cm) and layer them up onto the green leaf paper at an angle.
  • I coloured my Fred's Paradise image in using pan pastels on the tree and Copics for Fred himself. I have fussy cut the image out.
  • I have then taken my clouds and sea image and added a strip of the sand design paper from the freebie papers to the bottom of it. (approx. 5" deep)
  • Now layer this onto your card and add the Fred's Paradise gnome image onto the left hand side.
  •  I have used one of the sentiments from the freebies and adhered this on the right hand side .
  • To decorate I have used blue flowers, shells and starfish which I have adhered using my hot glue gun.
  • To finish add a sentiment to your card if you wish. I have then used lot's of stickles glitter to finish.
