Wee Little Bird House

Happy Thursday my fellow blogging friends. Firstly I would like to again say a big thank you for your lovely comments that you leave on my projects..... it is a joy to wake up everyday and see that my blog has been visited..... It makes my day!!!! Thank you also to all my new followers, I really do try and visit every ones blog and leave a comment, but I apologise if I haven't yet....... I am really busy at the moment, but I promise I will get round to all of your lovely blogs soon:).
So to my project that I would like to share with you today....... An altered Bird House! This really was a fun project to make. The bird house itself is from a company called Tando Creative, I got this at Ally Pally a few weeks back. It comes flat packed and is really easy to assemble and decorate....... I really should have taken pictures during the make, but as always I got carried away with the moment, but maybe I could do some video tutorials in the future ........ this is on my list of things that I would like to do......so watch this space:). Ok! back to the Bird House....... I chose papers from The Nitwit Collections - Country Lady: Available from LOTV.

  •  I used a craft knife and scissors to cut with. Only adhere the paper one side first then cut and then adhere the other side, else you won't see where you need to cut! I inked all the edges using Victorian Velvet distress inks.
  • Now assemble the house.... this is really easy as the base has slits in and you just slot them together. The roof just needs gluing in position.
  • Once all assembled you are now ready to decorate.  I have gone to town with this part:).
  • Most of the items I have used are from The Hobby House - The images are Sweet Blossom toppers (Wee Stamps, by Sylvia Zet). I have cut these out.
  • The roses are Wedding Day and Raspberry Truffle - The Hobby House.
  • The leaves and flourish are Spellbinder: Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.
  • The tiny birds - Marianne Design Creatables.
  • Pearl Brads -The Hobby House
  • Tiny pearls - Mei Flower
  • Tiny flower buds - Anne Marie Designs
  • Other pearls and lace  - my Stash
  • I have finished of with adding lots of Stickles Glitter - Diamond..... I think I have a little bit of an addiction with this product :).
Here are some more photo's to show you the house in a little more detail .........

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges:

Heartfelt Creations DT projects

Good morning everyone:) Thank you for your patients whilst I made some changes to my blog.... I hope you like it!
Today as it is Wednesday (and all other future Wednesday's) I have another Heartfelt Creations DT project to share with you.... Well actually 2 .
The 1st is a gift  box made with the new May release - Sun kissed Collection. The die is called Gift ensemble and comes as one die which you die cut 4 times to create the box.  It also comes with a foliage swirl die and some tiny little flowers. The box itself is very easy to assemble.... There is a video tutorial over at the Heartfelt Creations Blog..... beautifully demonstrated by Emma Lou.
Other dies that I have used are Timeless Amour, Sun Kissed fleur die and Spellbinder Timeless Rectangle. The papers are from the Sun Kissed Collection Pad and I have also used card from The Paper Temptress to make the box. The flowers have been stamped using the matching Sun Kissed fleur pre cut stamp. For all of the other items used and for the full instructions on how to make this gift box hop over to the Heartfelt Creations Blog.... HERE

I would like to enter my gift box into the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network - O's & X's (ribbon, Sentiment, Tag)

The next project that I have to share with you today is a layout. Again using the Sun Kissed Collection. The flowers have been stamped and die cut using Core'dinations pale blue card. I have then coloured them in with copics to add a bit of shading.  The pearl flourish, pearl buttons,  and pearls are from The Hobby House. For details of all the other items and instructions on how I put the layout together please hop over to the Heartfelt Creations blog....... where you will also find some gorgeous designs from the rest of the DT.

New Blog Design

A very good Monday morning fellow bloggers:)
I decided this morning that I would have a play with my blog design ..... I felt I wanted a bit of a change :)  So please bare with me whilst I get it right ..... I really have know idea what I am doing and I think the only way to learn is have a play around!  Got a few hiccups .... I don't know if you see this, but when I click on my blog another horrible colour comes up on my page before my new design comes up:(..... Not sure how to get rid of this so this will be  a job for my son when he comes home from school and also I need to tweak a few bits, but I think I am liking this new design :)
If you are a follower of my blog you will have to get use to me changing things pretty frequently ....... as I love to play around and have a new look from time to time:).
So my blog will have to stay like this until later this evening as I now have a few projects that I need to be working on (I only planned on playing for an hour).
I will be back later with an update on my blog design and also maybe a creation to share.
If you are wondering where I got this pretty design from then here is a link

Special Dad

Hi fellow bloggers, I hope you are all having a nice weekend:) I have been having a very productive crafting few days..... I had to finish off my projects to send into The Hobby House semi final design team call, which  are supposed to be there for Tuesday .... so off I toddled up to our local Post Office and guess what!!! they decided to close 1 hour earlier than they should..... how annoying, not even a note on the door to apologise:( ...  (I hope to share these projects with you next week!)
So I came home and made a 'gents' card!!!! No pink!, no lace, but I still couldn't resist a little bit of bling:) I have made the card for my dad for Fathers Day...... thought I had better try and be a bit more organised now that I have DT projects to complete and as I have been promising myself to make a few more male cards, this was the perfect opportunity!

  • The card is 8x8
  • The image is from LOTV Vintage Boys - Sketch pad set 1. I have coloured the image in using Copics.
  • The papers are Nitwit Collection - Petal Fresh. Cardstock is Core'dinations

LOTV - Little Fairy

Evening all! I hope you are all doing well......... Today I have been working on my DT work for Heartfelt Creations, but Mr Mojo is really not playing the game this last few day:( I have however made a scrapbook layout.... ( you will get to peek at this next week) not really sure about it but hey we are all a loud our off days, aren't we!
So anyway I decided today that I would have a little clear out in my craft room........ isn't it surprising how much we hoard, even when we know we will probably never use it:(  I have this terrible habit of keeping every single scrap of paper left over from my projects and end up with boxes and drawers of little bit's of paper that I will probably never use.... so now ALLL GONE!. I now have a clean and tidy craft room!
So anyway today I would like to share with you a little card I made a few days ago........ I was going for a clean and elegant look..... but me being me had to add a few more flowers and pearls, oh and lace....... and then a bow! but thats me I suppose, however I am quite pleased with the way it turned out, I hope you like it too:)

  • The base card is 5"x7" and is made using Spellbinder die - Enchanted Labels 28 as is the tag.
  • The sentiment I think came with a freebie set from a magazine many moons ago.
  • The image is a fairy from LOTV sketch pad set 6 - Fairies and I have coloured her in using copics.
  • Papers - Nitwits Collection: Country Lady
  • Other Spellbinder dies that I used  - Labels 28, A2 matting Basics B
  • Flowers - The Hobby House
  • Lace, pearls and ribbon - my stash
  • The diamante star  - Mei Flower
If you would like to know how to make a base card from this type of die then Becca over at
