Hobby House sneak peek

Good evening everyone!
This is a rather late post for me today, but I have to leave for the Create and Craft studio early in the morning (only a 25min drive though), and promised you all a sneak peek of a card I will be demoing tomorrow on my Hobby House show at 11am.
What do you think to my new look blog? It is unfinished as I have to change the background and the colour of the links etc....I wanted to go for a more neutral colour so that it didn't clash with the cards and projects that I post etc:) Hopefully I will have it finished by Monday......It is time for the dreaded VAT and as per usual I have left it until the last minute! So it looks like I will be swapping my crafting hat for my book keeping one:(
 
So anyway here is one of the cards I plan to demo tomorrow, it is a baby bib card....the inspiration coming from a card I saw a few years back in blog land!
 

 
 
  • I have die cut the main card from a Spellbinder Grand Scalloped Oval die.
  • I have used a small circle die to cut the neck of the bib.
  • The paper is from my stash (Lili of the Valley I think) which I have embossed with the Spellbinder embossing folder - Dainty Dots, design B.
  • I have inked the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
  • I have used one of the die cut toppers which are available on the show - Wee Stamps, It's a Boy by the artist Sylvia Zet.
  • I have used a small Spellbinder scalloped circle die to mat the topper onto.
  • The flowers, ribbon, pearls and buttons are also The Hobby House which are also on the show.
  • I have also added a little Stickles glitter:)
I hope you can all join me at 11am on Create & Craft tomorrow (Friday) for lot's of Hobby House inspiration!
I will be back on Saturday with some more inspiration and a new blog candy launch.....
probably will not be to early as I am baby sitting my grandchildren over night on Friday:)

    I have seen the new blog design over the last few days and it's really good. I actually like the colour you have at the moment. This card is absolutely gorgeous and I love the bib design. It looks very hard to do. However reading your instructions it looks very simple. Love the dotty background. Missed this post on Friday as you hadn't put the blog up when I last looked in the afternoon. So I will see if I have already set the recorder. Good luck with the VAT. I'm looking forward to see what I have won in the Blog Candy. Hopefully it should come soon and I can have a play.

    Hi Nikki and all ladies in Nikki Land. Love your new blog colours Nikki, just my kind of colours I love neutral, calming ans soothing , unlike your VAT paperwork !
    A very clever card today. I reached my goal saving for my joint saving ebosser. Its taken hours of card making, lots of early Sunday morning starts to set up at market, and some very frustrating orders but Ive got there at last so once Ive got it home I will be able to attempt
    more adventerous cards than I can with my Big Shot (although the bigger tools - folders and dies) will have to wait until I have saved up again : (
    Your bib card is great, 1 to try at a later date.

    Wondered what was happening as your blog page loaded this morning! Looking good so far! This card is beyond cute. I love it. Normally I don't do 'cute', but where babies are concerned I make an exception. Telly's on waiting for you to appear. Good luck, enjoy yourself.

    Love this card! Especially as I've just got some scalloped Grand oval dies! I'm watching you as I type, a shame you are paired with Dave, I do wish he would stop talking every so often, to let you get a word in edgeways. I know he has a job to do, but most of the other presenters manage.

    Hi Nikki, Beautiful Card I saw all the new toppers at my Craft Class last week my craft leader made some stunning cards and we actually used some of the toppers on Tuesday but used stamps also as we mainly do stamping.
