Live in the Moment!

A very good evening to you all....Yes I vanished again, but after last weeks show I decided to take a little break as I know I have a very busy few months ahead. I have just spent some quality time with the family and totally just chilled out.   I am now back on track and I hadn't realised that I was burning myself out....it took my family to convince me to take a break as they could see that I was trying to do to much:) I now feel more myself and ready to start work on the next collection:)

Create & Craft Shows
So just to bring you all up to date: Last weeks All Geared Up Shows went really well and I am so glad you all are liking it. You can really begin to use your imagination with this collection creating funky steampunk designs or more masculine designs.
I will be on Create and Craft again the first week of November with another gorgeous collection.  I will keep you informed of the exact date and times once I have had them confirmed:)

Today I am sharing another All Geared Up card with you all.  Wednesday was the world launch of this collection so if you haven't done so already I really advice you to head on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog as the Design Team have as always all worked so hard to bring you some fabulous inspiration!

  • The stamps that I have used from the All Geared up collection are HCPC 3637 - All Geared Up Background, I have of course used the fab Cogs and Sprocket dies. and the All Geared Up paper collection.
  • I created the base card with some brown card stock.
  • I have cut out the panel from the scrapbook layout which is in paper collection and stamped the image using some brown ink.
  • I have used some brown twine and adhered it around the image using Cosmic Shimmer glue
  • Next I die cut out the red tag and the 'Live for the Moment ticket using the dies from the Celebrate the Journey Collection and adhered them to the card.
  • I have created a cluster with the cogs, sprockets and leaves. I have used some silver Miri Card which I have then sanded them down a little and used some Tea Die ink to give them a rust effect. I have then die cut out some using some green card and some of the green patterned paper from the paper collection. I have also added a few to the top right of the sentiment tag.
  • Next I have cut out the red ribbon from the same layout page and added these to the cluster.
  • Finally I have die cut out some of the chain links and linked 3 of them together by cutting one side and slipping through anther and gluing where you have cut. I have also sanded these down and used Tea die distress ink to give them a rust effect. I have then adhered them to the sentiment.

I will be back tomorrow sharing another card and also I think its time for another blog giveaway:)
I just want to thank you all again for your continued support...without all of you I would not be doing this amazing job:) x It's hard work at times, but I love every minute of it:) x

Take care X

  3. Hi Nikki,

Love this card and the new collection. So great to be able to make something for the men and not too feminine still with the flowers like cogs. Could you tell me what the blue cardstock you used for the Wishing you Sunny Day card please? I hope to hear from you soon. Love, Ivy xx

  5. Hi Nikki, glad to hear your family persuaded you to take a break and even more pleased that you listened to them, I know from past experience myself how easy it is to get carried away with work without realising what a toll it is taking on your health. Today's card is lovely I do like this latest set but not sure yet whether I'll be buying it, well not just yet anyway. Take care.

  17. I have missed your posts, but it's not good to spread yourself too thin. All too easy when your doing something you love - it's hard to turn things down. Lovely card - not too macho! This looks like a fantastic collection.

  19. Hi Nikki. Beautiful. Do you remember when you emailed me just as you started your blog ? What advice did I give ? Enjoy your blog, enjoy your crafting, but remember your health and family or you'll end up feeling too off colour to enjoy both your family and your craft !
Please take care Nikki, we value your inspiration too much to lose it again.
So glad you are feeling better now.
    Hugs.
