Lady Roselie - Heartfelt Creations

A very good morning to you all.
Before I share my card with you all today I have a little announcement that I feel that I should make.

It is with great sadness that I had to make a very difficult Decision.

As all my fellow bloggers know, I have been with Heartfelt Creations for almost a year.....in actual fact they were my first ever Design Team which I applied for and successfully became part of!
Most recently I have become a Creative Expressions Demonstrator and Design Team member.
I have been asked by Heartfelt Creations if I would like do more workshops all over the UK and also demonstrate on Create and Craft TV. ....Wow! as you can imagine I was overwhelmed with excitement:) However for reasons which I don't feel is in my place to go into I am unable to do both....This decision has left me with many sleepless nights, but I have had to make the difficult decision to leave Creative Expressions.
This does not mean that I don't love working with there products or doesn't mean that my admiration for Sue and all the design team members has changed. All I can say is that I haven't made this decision lightly and I will always be thankful for Creative Expression for everything that they have done for me.
I hope you all understand, I had to make a choice.....Life is a journey and sometimes we find ourselves on a roundabout and have to choose which turning to take.......I believe that I have taken the right one and am looking forward to bringing inspiration to you all through Heartfelt Creations.
I hope you will all join me in my new adventure:)

So today sees the world launch of a brand new collection Raindrops on Roses!  You may have seen the dies and the background stamp on the CHA Create and Craft shows however you may not have seen the lush papers and other beautiful stamps which are now available.

The decorative and intricacy of this die will enable you to create frames, borders, and endless opportunities for layering with your favourite images. Pick up the classic image stamps to create a stunning masterpiece. These background, accents and sentiment stamps will add a delightful classic touch to every project you create.

Instructions:

Start with a square card blank and ink the edges with Milled Lavender Distress Ink.
Choose a green piece of decorative paper from the paper collection and cut to 7 ½” square. Adhere it to the card. Choose a 6”x6” decorative panel from the paper collection and adhere to the right hand side of the card at an angle. Die cut 4 of the decorative circles from the Raindrops on Roses die set. Stamp the Lady Roselie onto some white card using the Vintage Sepia ink and colour her in using the Distress Markers listed.  Die cut out using the Grand Circles die set and ink a little with Milled Lavender. Next take the 4 die cut decorative circles and adhere from the back of the Lady Roselie as in picture. Adhere to the card.  Stamp the sentiment ‘To a Special Someone’ onto white card and die cut out with the Spellbinder die – Decorative Labels Twenty-Two (2nd from smallest). Ink the edges with Milled Lavender and adhere to the right hand side of the card.  Die cut and stamp 3 of the larger leaves in green card.
Die cut and stamp a selection of the Posy Patch flowers in papers from the paper collection, enough to make a nice cluster of flowers. Adhere the leaves and flowers to the right hand corner of the card. Add pearls to the centre of the flowers. To finish add some Stickles Glitter to the outer edge of the card and to the outer edge of the circle die.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my extra long post today.
Take care x

  1. Hi Nikki, My Heart goes out to you, it must have been a really difficult decision for you to make, but you have to think of the Fabulous Future, I'm sure Sue understands.
Hopefully you'll do a workshop near where I live even if I have to drive to the destination.
Take Care Nikki I will still follow your Blog.
Love and hugs from Sam x

    1. Hi Nikki a hard decision to make but another exciting adventure for you. Would love to go to any workshop in my area and I will still follow your blog. It's you and your beautiful work I follow, must admit I think the Raindrops on Roses is one of the most beautiful collection I have seen. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it, but it sold out before I could get it so hopefully this time I will be lucky x

  2. Morning Nikki, I can understand how hard this decision must have been for you to make, I hate making decisions, but you seem to have made the right decision for you and that is the main thing, you have to feel right about it in your own head. Personally, I adore Heartfelt Creations products and does this mean that you will be demo'ing their products on C&C, yippeeeee, because I really love your 'style'. I know that you are going to Christine Emberson's Hope and Chances to do a workshop, I so wish that I could be there, but it is far too far for me. Let's hope you get to the Cheshire area, that would be fabulous.
Now on to your fabulous card, I have the Raindrops on Roses die and some stamps, and they are fantastic, but Lady Roselie is stunning, I love this image. The papers sound 'right up my street' too, as my favourite colour combo is purple and green together. This card is stunning.
    Have a lovely day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  3. Hi Nikki. Im with Sam and Patricia. You know how I feel. Health and family should always play a big part in any life changing decisions. Sue Im sure will totally understand being a family and fair lovely lady. You have to do what's right for you and your family, and if it feels right, then it is the right thing to do. Being married to a man who loses sleep when he has hard decisions to make, and makes him feel ill, I kind of know what you've been going through ! We are all sensible gals here, and dont favour one brand over another, or one person over another, so dont worry chick. Good luck on your new venture : )
That's my lecture over ! Your card is as always beautiful Nikki, and will continue to support your blog. My last word on this subject is - (you know my email if you 'need' to use it love) xx

  4. Morning Nikki,
It must have been a terribly hard decision to have to make as they both produce wondeful products for us crafters. In your heart you know which is the right way to go and I applaud you for making such a difficult choice, Congratulations and happy times in your new adventure and it will be a pleasure to keep following you along your way.
Today's card is so pretty and such a gorgous stamp, love the colourways you have used too.

    Love Sheila xx

  5. Understandable that you can't split yourself into several pieces - though I don't envy you having to make a decision like that. Pretty card, now I'll have to look for the main site and leave a comment. I'd have loved a link.

  6. Hi Nikki
Hard decision for you to make but you must follow your heart and we will continue to follow your blog and watch you on C&C no matter which product your using! Today's card is beautiful, very pretty colours and lots of flowers, as a retired florist I love flowers even if they're made of paper.
Good luck in all you do
    Best wishes, Pat

  7. I'm so happy you are staying on with HC, and am excited for your new venture with them. This card is lovely! The watercolor effect on the stamped image makes it feel like a page from a beautiful sketchbook. Great use of the dies, too! xoxo

  8. Beautiful card today. I agree with one of the earlier blogs, whichever products you use & whichever company you demonstrate for, you will still have a following both on here & on C&C. It is always difficult to choose between two things in life , if you enjoy both, but I am sure you will have made the right decision & like I said once before, so refreshing to see cards without the coloured glue dots.Good luck in your new journey with HC.

  13. It's fantastic to be in demand, but you can have too much of a good thing! I would not have liked to have had to choose between two such amazing companies. Creative Expressions will miss your skill and creativity, but you have to do what is right for you. I love Heartfelt Creations products particularly the Raindrops on Roses and look forward to seeing more products in the range. Wish I could find a seller able to offer more choice of HC dies in their range of products. Your card is just so pretty in these subtle pinks and greens.
