Although this is supposed to be such a happy time I am beginning to get rather emotional about it all.....although my son moved out 3 years ago and only lives over the road he is my first baby to get married, but when he put his suit on to show me today I realised he has grown into a very fine young man, giving me 2 gorgeous grandchildren and I am thinking maybe another in the future! I am going to be one emotional but very proud mummy tomorrow:) x
I love this card....the stamps are so pretty and I am really liking the yellow and black combo!
What do you think?
The picture doesn't show it very well, but I have stamped the flowers twice and cut some out and layered them up to add some dimension to the card!

Hi Nikki. I really like the card. I wouldn't thinkm to put black with the yellow on this sort of image but I think it is lovely, and the butterflies too. I hope it all goes well for everyone tomorrow at your sons wedding. It's funny how every now and then -at random moments in life- it hitsyou that this wonderful manor lady is YOUR baby isn't it! Enjoy yourself. Take care.
ReplyDeletePlease excuse the spelling mistakes, I mean think and man not thinkm or manor! X
ReplyDeleteMorning Nikki, A stunning card, I love the yellow and black, and I, for one am desperately praying for sunnier days haha. I love the stamping and embossing and the decoupage adds to the overall effect of the card, the flowers are quite 'magical' on this card, and very 'atmospheric'. Stunning !!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts will be with you tomorrow, as you see 'your baby' get married, what a fabulous day it will be for you all.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Lovely card and colour combination. Enjoy the day and I am sure all will be fine x
ReplyDeleteThese colours go really well together. Love the stamps I'm guessing ill have to practice my stamping technique a bit more as sometimes I get it smudgy! Any tips people I'd love to hear them please????
ReplyDeleteLove Tracy from killie
Hi Tracy. Stamping can be tricky and I always hold my breath ! One thing I wouldn't be without are my various sizes of Rocker Blocks from Crafters Companion, they are brilliant and always helps get a perfect image. They do what they say - rock ! Ink up your stamp, put heel of block onto card/paper and rock forwards once, perfect first time. Just remember NOT to get ink on the edges and if you do just wipe off. Im sure they will help with your stamping confidence. Hope I've been some help.

I cried for joy all through both our sons' weddings. It is hard not to remember them as wee babes in our arms...very emotional to see them all grown. Hope the wedding was splendid. The card certainly is! Hugs!
